Tyler Grey Instagram - Nice to be back on set filming. For some reason it seems really hard for me to post more than once in a blue moon. I need to improve and I guess the way to do that is to start by taking more pictures which is something I just don't make a priority. Maybe I should have a person running my social media and forcing me to put more stuff out there but I feel that isn't authentic so I haven't done it. Question for my everyone: What do you think the biggest issues are in the Veteran community. You could answer with collective issues of the community or individuals issues that the community as a whole is struggling with. As I am getting ready to release my book and start talking daily about these issues I want to get feedback and everyones personal perspective not just talk about my own. Tyler Grey Instagram - So sad to be posting these two mens faces for the reason I am. I will not post my thoughts on the mission nor circumstances as that is not important. What is important is that these two men sacrificed themselves, one for a mission and one for a teammate. My condolences to their families and rest in peace to these two warriors.

Tyler Grey Instagram - That is a wrap! After almost 8 years we wrapped SEAL Team. What a ride it has been personally and professionally. I am so thankful to have been a part of that project and will miss all those involved as we move on to other projects. Speaking of other projects more to come soon about @ajbuckley and my new podcast and show we can't wait to share. On another note, one thing I want to mention is identity. After working on this show for so long, I realized today I have a tendency to put my identity into my work and I'm sure many people reading this can relate. I know when I got out of the military I didn't know who I was outside of what I did. It took me a lot of time and effort to figure who I really was out so don't be discouraged if you are still in that phase. Recognize it, accept it and then put in the time and effort to find that person. For me I can tell you that who I really was was better than who I thought I was and I have no doubt you will find the same. Thanks for all the support over the run of this show and I promise that I will now have the time to focus on putting out the content to help veterans that I have been working on for so long! Thanks and onward!
Tyler Grey Instagram - Ok I gotta say it. As a full time security professional for over a decade this is unacceptable. The failures that allowed a former president to be shot, a spectator to be killed and two others seriously injured are hard for me to comprehend. 140 yards is outside the “security perimeter? I’m sorry but that’s not how guns work. Let me state a hard fact here. This was a lone wolf 20 year old kid who looked like “Timmy” from South Park. He was untrained, not “state sponsored” and not equipped well at all and he almost killed the former President of the US. Imagine had it not just been 1 shooter and/or had they been trained and much better equipped.. Stopping this should have been the tactical equivalent of a lay up. I have worked with the Secret Service and I know there are good talented people there so I’m betting this is a massive failure of the bureaucracy of the organization as a whole. That being said there were individual actions that are on camera that were shocking to me. I won’t mention them specifically to dime people out but wow if you are going to do that job you better take it seriously which means you better train to do it not just look cool in a suit and sunglasses. If there is a Secret Service member or office reading this I volunteer to train your agents/agency for free just say the word and I’ll put my money where my mouth is. There is a lot unknown right now but I’ll drop this.. Ever notice how all assassins have three names….Why is that?

Been a great cast and crew to work with these many years and I will absolutely miss the people I worked with during this time. Tyler Grey Instagram - Not too much longer left filming! Going to really miss being a fake SEAL hahaha. Of note, I have played a SEAL or Ex-SEAL 4 times which is pretty funny. It's not too hard I just have to pretend I can swim (I can't) and make sure my hair looks amazing. As veterans or even active duty we may talk smack about other units and services but what most people don't realize is that you do that even when in the same unit against other teams, squads, platoons, etc. That's just friendly completion like among brothers and brother will beat the crap out of each other until someone from the outside messes with one of them. Thats the military we are all brothers and sisters and though me make rib each other internally soon as someone threatens any one of us the whole family comes to their defense. I am thankful that I was able to be part of the military family when I was in and I'm thankful I got to be a part of this film family for the last 7 years. I will miss the ability to tell the stories of this community but make no mistake there will be new opportunities to tell more stories from the military in the near future. Thanks so much for the support of the years we all truly appreciate it as your support allows us to do what we do and have done for 7 Seasons. Thank you!
Tyler Grey Instagram - When you’re going through your shit and you find some shit that reminds you of going through some shit…. I am glad I kept this as most of my military stuff I destroyed or gave away within 1-2 years of getting out. That will probably sound strange to many people but I wasn’t happy that I got out though it was absolutely my choice to medically retire. I didn’t want to be reminded of that job, that life and more importantly: that version of me so I tried to destroy and/or get rid of it. I’m glad this survived because it will always be a part of me and I would argue that it is a part that I don’t know if I could see “me” without. The quickest way to a happy present is an accepted past and an optimistic future.
Tyler Grey Instagram - One thing that I love about TV and movies is the teamwork aspect. You have several hundred people that come together for a project and to make it happen everyone has to work as one cohesive team. Tyler Grey Instagram - I grew up watching love stories in movies and thinking that’s what love was. For a long time I didn’t think I would ever experience it and even once I did, I thought that that kind of love just wasn’t possible and didn’t exist. I thought that love was compromise and to have it meant you had to give up something else. Meeting this woman right here showed me that I was so completely wrong about so many things. Not only did love exist like in the movies but she has also taught me that I didn’t need to sacrifice or compromise anything. The only things I did need to let go of was the beliefs and misconceptions I had that were limiting me. She is the strongest woman I have ever known. I fully believe she is stronger than me and I mean that both mentally and physically and I think that is great. It just makes push myself. She truly makes me work harder at everything. Meeting her made me want to be a better man. Cristiane, it's hard to write things as words fail to capture my feelings for you but I will do my best. You are the most amazing person I have ever met and everyday I am in awe of you. You work so hard everyday on accomplishing your goals that it motivates me to work harder in mine. You are such a giving person to everyone around you including strangers. You are sweet and understanding and yet you have very strong boundaries and will not tolerate someone crossing them. From the very beginning, being with you was so easy that I quite frankly thought that something must be wrong. I didn’t believe that a relationship could be so easy and so I held back assuming that the other shoe would fall. Now I realize that when you find the right person it can be that easy. I got so lucky that I found you and to those reading this please trust me when I say your someone is out there. I had given up on love and was preparing to be alone for the rest of my life. I wasn’t happy with that but I had accepted it. Maybe that is when the universe or God puts that someone in your life. Thank you for being you and committing to us. I couldn’t be more excited about our future together. You are the love of my life and the Bonnie to my Clyde.

Tyler Grey Instagram - Suicide Squad 2015. I’m the only person dumb enough to wear a real helmet for a super hero movie..! This was a lot of fun working on this film but it was also one of the darkest times of my life. That being said it was the first time I chose to truly pursue my dreams and commit to them. I cannot stress enough how much I am happy that I chose that over comfort. It hasn’t been easy but it HAS been worth it. This same fork in the road has come up again and again and I keep choosing the more difficult path and it keeps leading me closer to what I’ve always wanted. I don’t know what your dreams are but I can tell you that whenever that fork in the road happens, chose the path that leads you closer to them. In my experience you will never regret it no matter where it leads. Have a great end of the week everyone!

Tyler Grey Instagram - I LOVE Disneyland. It is my happy place and has been since I was a kid. I try and go often to remember that you have to make time for people and things you truly enjoy. What I enjoy the most is time with this person. I can honestly say that she was someone I dreamed of my whole life. She makes every single day a day full of joy. I never realized how much who you spend your time with impacts your life but now, well obviously it's obvious. Who you choose to spend your time and ultimately your life with is beyond critical so be very selfish with who you choose. If you have never evaluated this in your life I feel strongly you should think about it. I personally am going to reduce the time I spend in some areas so I can increase the time spent with the incredible people in my life. Oh and another life lesson in the last pic! Take it from me never to let a barber "take out the gray". His solution: dye my hair (and eyebrows) black. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I really appreciate everyone now reading this as the vast majority of people on here are good supportive people which makes me honestly proud. Thank you for being you.

Tyler Grey Instagram - Very happy and proud to announce the release of a project named KANDAHAR I worked on with my brother: @ric.roman.waugh The film is like a rocket blast so just sit down and strap in! Filming in Saudi Arabia was an amazing experience and therefore most of the places in the film few in the US has ever seen. It is beautiful and the scope is LARGE. It was an honor to work with so many talented crew members and obviously a cast that is full of true movie stars who are stars not just because of talent but also a work ethic within that allowed a film like this to be made. Memorial Day Weekend this is one you gotta see on a big screen, trust me on this. Update: I’m the guy who posts a movie and says go see it, then sees someone else’s repost of my post and they did something I didn’t…The name of the movie… See it’s genius additions and feedback like this that I appreciate from people. Tyler Grey Instagram - Old picture of me back when I used to contract for Atlas. This was a fun shoot for COD with a great group of guys and a cool girl who rocked the suit. These suits were made by Legacy who did all the Ironman movies and a million other awesome things. I love Sci-Fi it is in fact my favorite genre and it is vastly becoming our reality. One of the projects I am currently working on is about survival in the coming age where technology will be advancing at an even faster pace that will scare many. I am looking forward to my co-host and I bringing content that will inform people how to not just survive but thrive in the coming years. What subjects would you think would be good to cover?
Tyler Grey Instagram - I haven't been on here much for the last 6ish months due to some mental health issues that I will discuss later at a time when I can go in depth. The combined strikes have been brutal for many and personally is has affected my life greatly. That being said a lot of lessons have come from it. I felt this was a good picture to represent how I feel now as this was me doing a photo shoot for the MoH video game. All this kit was quite heavy and very hot so I'm just taking a breather which is pretty much what I am doing in my life now. The one thing I do know about myself is that I will come back stronger and smarter. It's a cycle that repeats itself and one that apparently is in itself the mechanism for change. It hurts and is uncomfortable but that is the only way we grow. UPDATE: I am ok! My intent was to make a post that was ultimately positive but now after 3 calls from friends asking if I am on the edge it's obvious to me that this came across differently than intended. I am fine now but no 3 months ago I was not and maybe now that I think about it that's the message. I'm only posting now that I don't need help and I didn't when I did. Tyler Grey Instagram - I've posted about Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia many times over the past decade I've been on this platform. But the story isn't of an operation or of a country it's of the people that were there. This is @tomsatterly who is a legendary operator, to me even more for what he is doing now than what he did when he is in. He lived that day 30 years ago and talks about it on the @shawnryanshow recently. If you haven't listened to it go check it out now. He is doing truly great things now with his organization: @allsecurefoundation and I was lucky enough to sit down with him and his wife recently and talk various topics to include transitioning and veteran mental health. 30 years ago today wow, I remember when I joined and that operation had taken place over 5 years ago and to me at the time it felt like 1993 was 30 years ago. Your perspective of time will GREATLY change over the course of it so don't waste a single minute.

Tyler Grey Instagram - This is a picture of my me when I was a sniper team leader which means: less shooting, more radio talking. This picture was our Afghanistan train up in Yakima WA. This trip was probably the happiest I ever was in the military. I was at that point where you know so many people because no one has hit their ETS dates. I was also an E5 which was the perfect rank: in charge of 4 and not yet dealing with any politics. Speaking of politics: I don’t post any on social media. It’s not that I am unaware, it’s that I believe the intent is creating conflict between the classes that aren’t at the top. Tyler Grey Instagram - Came across this old photo of me trying to look hard most likely to try and impress a girl or girls. I believe this was Yakima in 2002 which was 2nd Ranger Batts train up to our first deployment to Afghanistan. I was a sniper team leader at this time which was a blast. I had a kid ask me last week about advice in joining and it’s a strange experience as i was once there so i get his enthusiasm but where I am now I see everything completely differently. Question for vets: how do you feel when young people ask your advice on joining the military? Am I the only one who feels conflicted? I want to help them but I also don’t want to act like it’s not going to have a cost and take a toll. Comment your thoughts below I would love to get others perspectives.

Going forward feels good as I am integrating both sides of myself on all three timelines: past, present and future. The only way to be fully authentic is to be fully integrated. This was me not very smartly attempting to walk out of the ER while in a VERY intense amount of pain which you can see in my eyes. The 2nd picture is my helmet as I landed on my head then shoulder then back. Also, right before impact I jumped off the pegs causing my shin to catch the handle bars which seriously damaged my leg. I have posted no photos of the incident and not talked about it much at all until now. This accident really messed me up physically and mentally BUT it started me down a path of self discovery which changed my life In ways that I will be forever grateful for. The same thing happened when I got blown up. So the point of this post is this: You don't know if anything is good or bad in the moment so try not to get caught up in it. The 4 worst events that happened to me in my life (which I discuss in my upcoming book) are the 4 things that led to the greatest things in my life. If you are currently in the middle of something painful, traumatic or stressful just know that it could end up being the event that leads you to everything you ever wanted. But it won't do that automatically you have to make it happen. An injury? Let it be the motivation to fight back and get in the best shape of your life. A bad breakup? Let it lead you to find the love of your life. I know it's cliche that we don't chose what happens to us, but we do chose what we do with it. So do something with it! Tyler Grey Instagram - Been awhile since I've posted and the reason is: It's been a VERY rough couple of months with this strike in Hollywood. It has cost me a lot and a lot more than just money. That being said I have also learned a lot and many things that I don't think I would have learned any other way. As bad as this situation is and has been, I won't die from it so in the grand scheme of life it won't matter. I say all this because even know that it is very hard to not stress in the present even when you know it will be ok. I'm working on that. The reason for this post is to say: Stop judging yourself. For months I've been saying mean things to myself about "how did I not see this coming", "I should have done this or that" etc. You did the best you could at the time with the information at the time. Period. So take it easy on yourself when you make mistakes. Lastly: so what does this post have to do with the photo? Nothing, I just thought it was a good picture. 🤷‍♂️ Have a great weekend!
Tyler Grey Instagram - Happy Veterans Day to so many. I really struggled with posting anything today as there is no way to post a pic of myself in uniform without people saying nice things to me. Wait, why is that a problem?Well, compliments make me super uncomfortable so I try and avoid them whenever possible and I always have. Now older and trying to be wiser I realize that the issue is me in that equation and I obviously need to work on accepting compliments or simply nice things. I can't remember if I have posted this but this was my Ranger School graduation day which is why I look 12. I think I lost 40 something lbs of which, 90% was in my face. If you too have a problem with compliments, say so in the comments as I think this may be a relatively common issue with many. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Most people are miserable in their relationship(s) because they picked who picked them. Read that again. Also of note, our relationship started with mutual: "I don't want anything serious" and yet here we are. She pushes me to be better everyday. I never realized how important it is to push each other nor did I realize how easy it is: just support each other, be there for each other. Ask about their dreams and actively check in on your partners progress. I cannot express how much more I am accomplishing due to my parters love and support. Tyler Grey Instagram - So I am officially announcing my upcoming book as well as my collaboration with this awesome person to my left. @laurenungeldi is an absolute intellectual animal and a beast of a writer. I have been working on this book about 15 years and could never really find someone that "got it". She not only gets it but takes it to another level. Lauren thank you so much for joining me on this, it is the first but unquestionably it won't be the last! @cristiane_ferreira_fit thank you so much for your unwavering support during this process and more importantly thank you for believing in me as that is what caused me to start believing in myself! Tyler Grey Instagram - Had a sinus surgery on Wednesday which hopefully fixes the small problem of not breathing in my sleep. I totally thought I would be fine the next day and yet it’s Saturday and my head feels like it’s going to explode. Monday I will be releasing the trailer for my new show and later in the week the first episode of my Podcast entitled: “The As Yet Untitled Podcast”. Very exciting stuff, try to stay in your seats. Tyler Grey Instagram - My life has changed so dramatically in the last year-ish that it’s hard for me to explain. That being said the change started about 2 years ago when I spent 60 days doing nothing but working on myself. I learned a lot and then the more I kept digging the more I found that I didn’t really know about myself. That started a long process of actively being aware of the things I learned and then changing them to get a different result than before. I can’t recommend taking some time to do nothing but work on the relationship with the most important person in your life: you. The saying: “you can’t love anyone else until you love yourself”, is so true I couldn’t agree more. If you take nothing else from this post take this: if you want something different in your life you have to do things differently. What you have always done is what got you where you are. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot of work to do and things to change but I know now that the power to change your reality is within you. We are not people who merely react to reality but rather the people who create it. Obviously no, you can’t create or un create an earthquake but most things we have a part in and once realized that’s powerful. There is only one person in the world responsible for your happiness and that’s obviously you. So take charge of your life and start creating the one you want to live. For me it all started just realizing that we already have this inside us. Yes it is a little touchy feely so I fought it for a long time but results are hard to argue with. Tyler Grey Instagram - I’m smiling not because my life is perfect but because I accept that it never will be. I have so many things I am grateful for and the things I want to change I am working on. I have finally found what I was searching for my whole life and every morning I wake up thankful. I still have a long way to go to get where I want to be but at this point I understand that it’s the journey that IS life not arriving at the destination. Like any journey what’s important is less where you go and much more who you go with. On that note make sure you chose wisely and most importantly make sure you are the one choosing rather than just being chosen and going along for the ride. I am very lucky that I in the unit I was in, with the people I was with. This story doesn't really bother me anymore but it did for years. You can't change the past and at a certain point you have to accept that. I did the best that I could in a split second decision and you can't judge yourself for years on a decision you made in micro seconds. Everyone knows I love Star Wars and this is where I learned to: "Let go Luke". If you are reading this and you haven't yet let go of something, there is no better time than now.

Also of note: This is literally the first birthday that I haven't drank or taken drugs (prescription) for probably...well most likely since I got injured. Today I accept what I am capable of rather than knowing it. Yes, consciously knowing something and subconsciously accepting it are two very different things I have learned that over and over. Because of this change, I am now doing things I didn't do before because I felt I needed something external to show I could do it. "I can't write because I didn't go to college". "I can't direct something because I didn't go to film school" I can't write a philosophy book because I have no degree in that". "I have thoughts on veterans mental health care but I am not qualified to do that". All of these statements are wrong. You don't need anything to try and do anything! Actually that's not true. You do need one thing: passion. Without that it's highly more than likely not going to work out but with enough of it NO ONE can stop you. If you are reading this now and there is something you want to do, but aren't because: you don't think you're qualified to do it, no education in it, no experience, etc. Anything like that the only question is: you do really want to do it? If the answer is yes DO IT! Don't listen to anyone on how you can't do it or shouldn't and don't play it safe because I promise you life isn't to play safe! Life is to work to make your dreams come true! Anything less than that isn't truly "living"! The happiest I have ever been has come from me finally doing what I always held myself back from doing. I am now working as a writer. I never went to college nor film school. I had passion for it and after a lot of hard work to show others I had that passion, some great people were gracious enough to give me a shot. Now all I have to do is put that passion into this one opportunity and crush it which then hopefully leads to more of them. I am also writing my first Sci-Fi screenplay which is a dream come true. Thanks to the one who's changed my life and I hope this post leads to someone changing theirs!

Tyler Grey Instagram - Happy Memorial Day. I’ve posted the people I knew well and luckily for me there hasn’t been anyone I have known recently pass. So I’m posting this image of section 60. For those that don’t know: Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia is where those who were in OEF and OIF are buried. Previously those buried in Arlington at least to me seemed rather random as you would have someone from WWI next to someone from WWII etc. Section 60 is all OEF and OIF which is good in the sense that it’s a section dedicated to one group of people but it does have a down side. I was leaving years ago after visiting a grave of someone I knew well and while going through it I was shocked at how many names I knew. I think I spent another 2 hours there after thinking I was leaving. This holiday and how I feel about it changes every year. The strange part about it that I keep thinking about is that the people that it’s actually for aren’t here so I feel guilty even being able to write this. What can I say that does service to the sacrifice? Nothing. Yet silence isn’t service, in fact it’s the opposite so I guess all I can say is: thanks and I wish you were here.

Tyler Grey Instagram - I never use a filter this is just how good the sunset was on this day! I am very excited about this year so many great things around the corner so there is a lot to smile about! Prior to 2019 you would be hard pressed to find a picture of me smiling. I used to look at the world differently and more importantly I looked at myself differently. I was wrong about so many things for so long and now, I couldn't be happier about that. Now I don't care about being "right" I just care about my peace which leads to my happiness. Don't let others invade your mind as that is giving them power over you. Going to the movies Christmas Day has been a tradition for me and this year we went to "Godzilla Minus One" (Last year was Avatar). If you are a Veteran, still in the Military, LEO/First Responder: GO SEE THIS MOVIE IMMEDIATELY!! It has some truly great moments about what it means to serve and the struggle we all face with ourselves. Yes I know it's a Godzilla film, but these filmmakers did the opposite of Hollywood and actually set the CGI monster destruction part as a backdrop focusing on a redemption story with some STRONG characters. After 5 minutes you will completely forget it's in subtitles. Just trust me on this it is GREAT. Also of note it takes place at the very end of WWII so make no mistake it really is a war movie with a monster mixed in. Oh and lastly the PJs were my idea, I love corny couples stuff! @cristiane_ferreira_fit @fitqueensantos

Tyler Grey Instagram - This picture is from awhile back but I don’t think I ever posted it. This was Clint Eastwoods .44 Magnum (Model 29) from “Dirty Harry”. I believe this gun was from the second movie specifically. I love movie props as I believe that goes along with my love of cinema. Sometimes you see a prop in person and are underwhelmed but not if you are at Mike Papac’s shop. This is one of his relics and every one has a great story attached to it. Speaking of: Stories are to me what this business is about and that all starts with writing. The failures that allowed a former president to be shot, a spectator to be killed and two others seriously injured are hard for me to comprehend. 140 yards is outside the “security perimeter? I’m sorry but that’s not how guns work. Let me state a hard fact here. This was a lone wolf 20 year old kid who looked like “Timmy” from South Park. He was untrained, not “state sponsored” and not equipped well at all and he almost killed the former President of the US. Imagine had it not just been 1 shooter and/or had they been trained and much better equipped.. Stopping this should have been the tactical equivalent of a lay up. I have worked with the Secret Service and I know there are good talented people there so I’m betting this is a massive failure of the bureaucracy of the organization as a whole. That being said there were individual actions that are on camera that were shocking to me. I won’t mention them specifically to dime people out but wow if you are going to do that job you better take it seriously which means you better train to do it not just look cool in a suit and sunglasses. If there is a Secret Service member or office reading this I volunteer to train your agents/agency for free just say the word and I’ll put my money where my mouth is. There is a lot unknown right now but I’ll drop this.. Ever notice how all assassins have three names….Why is that?

The failures that allowed a former president to be shot, a spectator to be killed and two others seriously injured are hard for me to comprehend. 140 yards is outside the “security perimeter? I will miss the ability to tell the stories of this community but make no mistake there will be new opportunities to tell more stories from the military in the near future. You are the most amazing person I have ever met and everyday I am in awe of you. You work so hard everyday on accomplishing your goals that it motivates me to work harder in mine. You are such a giving person to everyone around you including strangers. You are sweet and understanding and yet you have very strong boundaries and will not tolerate someone crossing them. From the very beginning, being with you was so easy that I quite frankly thought that something must be wrong. It hurts and is uncomfortable but that is the only way we grow. UPDATE: I am ok! My intent was to make a post that was ultimately positive but now after 3 calls from friends asking if I am on the edge it's obvious to me that this came across differently than intended. I am fine now but no 3 months ago I was not and maybe now that I think about it that's the message. I'm only posting now that I don't need help and I didn't when I did. We should fix that and I should have put something out then when I probably could have used some motivation.

I say all this because even know that it is very hard to not stress in the present even when you know it will be ok. I’m working on that. The reason for this post is to say: Stop judging yourself. I learned a lot and then the more I kept digging the more I found that I didn’t really know about myself. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot of work to do and things to change but I know now that the power to change your reality is within you. We are not people who merely react to reality but rather the people who create it. Obviously no, you can’t create or un create an earthquake but most things we have a part in and once realized that’s powerful. There is only one person in the world responsible for your happiness and that’s obviously you. So take charge of your life and start creating the one you want to live. For me it all started just realizing that we already have this inside us. Yes it is a little touchy feely so I fought it for a long time but results are hard to argue with. For some people it takes someone else believing in you so much that it cracks the fear and doubt you had your whole life. Me today and me a year ago are radically different. Today I accept what I am capable of rather than knowing it. Yes, consciously knowing something and subconsciously accepting it are two very different things I have learned that over and over. Because of this change, I am now doing things I didn't do before because I felt I needed something external to show I could do it. "I can't write because I didn't go to college". "I can't direct something because I didn't go to film school" I can't write a philosophy book because I have no degree in that". So I’m posting this image of section 60. For those that don’t know: Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia is where those who were in OEF and OIF are buried. Previously those buried in Arlington at least to me seemed rather random as you would have someone from WWI next to someone from WWII etc. Section 60 is all OEF and OIF which is good in the sense that it’s a section dedicated to one group of people but it does have a down side. I was leaving years ago after visiting a grave of someone I knew well and while going through it I was shocked at how many names I knew. I think I spent another 2 hours there after thinking I was leaving. This holiday and how I feel about it changes every year. The strange part about it that I keep thinking about is that the people that it’s actually for aren’t here so I feel guilty even being able to write this. What can I say that does service to the sacrifice? Nothing. Yet silence isn’t service, in fact it’s the opposite so I guess all I can say is: thanks and I wish you were here.

Going to the movies Christmas Day has been a tradition for me and this year we went to "Godzilla Minus One" (Last year was Avatar). It has some truly great moments about what it means to serve and the struggle we all face with ourselves. Yes I know it's a Godzilla film, but these filmmakers did the opposite of Hollywood and actually set the CGI monster destruction part as a backdrop focusing on a redemption story with some STRONG characters. After 5 minutes you will completely forget it's in subtitles. Just trust me on this it is GREAT. Also of note it takes place at the very end of WWII so make no mistake it really is a war movie with a monster mixed in. I believe this gun was from the second movie specifically. I love movie props as I believe that goes along with my love of cinema. Sometimes you see a prop in person and are underwhelmed but not if you are at Mike Papac’s shop. This is one of his relics and every one has a great story attached to it. Speaking of: Stories are to me what this business is about and that all starts with writing. Hopefully this strike gets resolved quickly so we can all go back to doing our part in the storytelling process. Have a good week.

I also got to talk to several Normandy Raiders which very sadly that opportunity is now gone. It was amazing and hard to explain how much it changed the way I view a lot of things. I have also decided to let go of some true relics that I love but am letting go after much self debate. Also, I am keeping this open to shipping internationally.
