Xavier de le Rue Instagram - Pretty nice audience at the bottom of the line 🤩. Those@pinguins are insane! We got a bit of fresh but not enough so it seems to be making things a bit tricky for now on what we have ridden. More snow should make it much nicer. @thenorthface

Xavier de le Rue Instagram - It looks like we may have found the zone… We can feel now that the season is changing fast. The sun is getting so strong and quite necessary to turn the snow rideable. Down here the snow works in a very different way from what we are used in our mountains. @thenorthface

(Flick through to see some of it…)😥 Looking back at it, it was predictable but still I got so used to the stability of those fjords that it served me as a good lesson to keep the focus. It was harder to enjoy the run right after but thankfully the mojo came back pretty quick🤟 Still in Senja, That couloir is called « lazy ass » which describes really well the state I’ve been when climbing this one. 📸 @nathanpyr #roamer by @swatch

We have had a lot of different conditions and most of the runs here are Uber steep considering how much the snow sticks to vertical walls. @thenorthface #goprolineofthewinter

Xavier de le Rue Instagram - It feels like yesterday when Mila @miladelerue was 7 years old and riding her first couloirs with me, and now she is my team mate 🤪🤪🤪 as she just joined the swatch pro team. How bonkers is that? It’s been amazing (most of the time😂) witnessing all her evolution, her first back flips, her first couloirs, her first wins on the juniors and now after her first victories on the qualifiers getting onto the challenger tour and potentially on the actual world tour with her uncle @victordelerue next year!!! I freaking enjoyed it and it’s nice to be back after one month feeling useless. Yesterday was the first day of the trip, and I released a pretty significant wind slab on a ridge so the trip didn’t really start on a high and I was not in the best state of minds…. After last year’s success, we are pleased to let you know that the @audischweiz freeride camping week end is on again in Verbier 14-17th of March 2024. Once again the idea is to go touring and get some lines around the Verbier area, and sleep in the most bas ass camp ever at the top of the mountains at 2800 meters of altitude. Antoine @basecamp_events , has planned an incredible winter camping set up with gourmet food, ultra comfortable camping gear, and many more surprises. This year we’ll have different groups with different levels accompanied by Verbier mountain guides, and I’ll be swapping groups to make sure I can do at least a lap with everyone. It will also be my pleasure in the evening to answer all your questions, about free riding, adventure and tell you more about my last journey in Antarctica. Antoine @basecamp_events , has planned an incredible winter camping set up with gourmet food, ultra comfortable camping gear, and many more surprises.
