It’s taken a minute to post about this but We recently lost our friend Quennel Gaskin. He was a world class Pianist and Man. We talked about planning a concert…This morning I was listening to some messages he left for me specifically the ones of encouragement and strength when he was going through his battle. He wasn’t angry, bitter, or scared .. he was resolute. He was my friend. I will miss him. There are memories that I will embrace from my journey and him playing for and with my mother will be one of them. Thanks @davidranier for hooking this up for Mama.

Click link in Bio to Purchase. Rashad Phillips upcoming book titled “Basketball Position Metric: The Evolution is Being Televised” is a comprehensive observation of the game of basketball including new terminology, updated positions, and personal stories of NBA greats. A profound foreword by two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas begins the book by praising Rashad’s ideology and adopting his new positional names to the game of basketball. With players like Steph Curry, Tiny Archibald, Ja Morant, Lebron James, Chris Webber, and Kevin Garnett, the author Rashad Phillips intentionally places the proper position names for past and current players. The position metric serves as a guide to help the basketball community navigate the current and future climate of the game from scouting, coaching, drafting, recruiting, and identifying players. We are proud to present Basketball Position Metric as our first offering at Webber Publishing Group. “I have known Rashad since he was a young 10-year-old kid lighting it up with my brother David in the backcourt for their A.A.U. team, The Road Runners. Rashad’s style, basketball acumen, and unique skill set were a direct result of growing up a coach’s son. He has studied ‘the science’ from a young age, watching countless hours of film and filling out evaluation reports with his dad on his favorite players and teams. I watched him grow into a great player, one of the finest in Michigan history. Rashad would go on to have a record-breaking professional career internationally, but because he was “misdiagnosed” by scouts we never got to see him compete in the league he loved. In his book Basketball Position Metric, Rashad tells his remarkable story and sets the record straight for himself and others who have been victims of this malpractice by redefining Player Titles, Skill Sets, and Positions within the game we love.” – Chris Webber #basketballpositionmetric #theevolutionisbeingtelevised
