One lad who stood out whilst sparring, took me by surprise when I found out he had not long come away from the wrong crowd and changed his behaviour massively.
You wouldn’t believe the same kid who was polite, well mannered and inquisitive, had previously had many run ins with the police including knife crimes.
Whether it’s boxing or any other sport, sometimes folk need a focus.
Boxing is honest.
No egos when you walk through the doors and can completely change the outlook for many.
If this lad stays in boxing, I think he will go far but at the same time, what ever he puts his energy into, I believe he will go far.
Well done that man 👏
