No flashing cameras, no spotlights, no flags, no competition. This morning was calm, focussed and mindful. It’s where the real fight begins. And now, we take it to @sierrezinal_officiel. 📸: @_guaresti_ #NNormal #YourPathNoTrace

1 Race. 10 Wins. Kilian is no stranger to these trails. Today, he didn’t just break the Sierre Zinal record, but redefined his personal best. Because the real competition is yourself. ⏱️: 2:25:34 👟: Kjerag 📸: @_guaresti_ #NNormal #YourPathNoTrace

Sierre-Zinal, merci. This year, the competition was truly humbling and it made the result even more special. Thanks everyone again for your support and congratulations to the racers! 📸 @_guaresti_

This training cycle has felt really good up to this point, and I feel fully recovered following Zegama and the Isfjorden Skyrace. It’s now time to focus on tomorrow. See you at the start! 📷 @_guaresti_
TRAINING 2024: After a season without competing in 2023, where I mostly focused on big personal projects like my attempt on the Everest West ridge or the Pyrenees link up, my training this year was all about being fit for short, fast trail races like Zegama and Sierre-Zinal. Following the good results in both of them, I broke down my training cycle on the blog, from sleep, nutrition, stress management to the actual plan and key sessions. I am looking forward to see what the rest of the season will bring. Follow the link in my bio to read more! 📸 @_guaresti_
And we are off! We took an early start with @philippbrugger to climb Piz Bernina (4048m), the easternmost 4000 meter peak in the Alps, located in the Swiss Engadine valley. We ran and climbed 29km with 2573m of elevation to the summit round-trip, in great conditions, before getting to the start of the first bike link-up of the adventure. After that, I cycled more than 210km solo with almost 4000m of elevation through some iconic mountain passes, to reach the next stage of the adventure through my own human power. After dreaming about this project for a while, it feels so exciting to be on the move! Head to my Strava account to see both climbing and biking activities for the day.
