Building that next generation teaching these kids how to spar without hurting each other. @themakouradam is a future stud! Fun times! Working on doing a course on sparring also, how to spar, etiquette in sparring, etc. I’m testing out the methods in the gym it seems to be working! I have to be honest… I thought morning routines, cold plunges, sun in the eyes, etc, was all trendy fad bs. I’ve always just got up and got going first thing in morning. Since @redwoodoutdoorsco sent me this cold plunge that has all changed. I figured I would try it one morning just to see what it was about and now I’m obsessed. I’m not saying it’s going to win any fights, make me more money, be more successful or any of that, what I’m saying is it’s fucking amazing and I noticed a mental difference day one. Not a crazy hard day today but did a few exercises I do regularly to build ko power. I’ve been working on rebuilding my garage gym and it’s looking pretty solid now… anyway this was the workout: warmup-3×5 rounds speed bag…. Rotations with @kynett_usa flywheel trainer (this one is amazing more videos coming soon)…. Homemade earthquake bar presses 4×25…. Kettlebell cleans 5×15 my form sucks haven’t done these in a while…. Isometric abs with punches 1 min hold 5 times…. Then 30 min in @redwoodoutdoorsco sauna at 170-180. @lambofgod rules too.
When beginners ask me for advice… My answer has evolved over the years and I’ve said many different things. I heard a quote from @hormozi that was perfect though: “You suck because it’s not reasonable for you not to suck so just go train until you don’t suck.” (Not quoted exact) Time consistency trumps all. Either you haven’t done enough reps or you haven’t done enough reps for long enough. Simple as that. Put in the volume then put in the time and you’ll probably end up better than me, the guy you’re asking advice from. I’m not genetically gifted at all I’ve just out worked everyone and/or done it for longer. By the way, the video… I’ve never met anyone that can handle a brutal pad session like @hwatkins117 he’s a fucking barbarian with the pads I beat the living hell out of him on pads and he loves it. Ossss

3×15 min rds at 160 degrees tonight with 2-3 min cold plunges in between rounds in the @redwoodoutdoorsco sauna and plunge. Hitting sauna hard before bed helps me sleep 10 times better and hitting the plunge in the am helps me wake up to prepare for the days violence
