Mike Posner Instagram – Five years ago I was bitten by a venomous rattlesnake and almost lost my leg. This was quite inconvenient since I was in the middle of trying to walk across America.
I spent 3 nights in the ICU, my leg swelled to the size of an elephant trunk, and I went from walking 24 miles a day to not being able to walk to the bathroom.
But eventually, my leg healed, by the grace of God, my leg healed.
Eventually, I went back to the exact spot that the snake bit me and I started taking steps. Not letting the bite stop me made me feel like the superhero version of myself.
It’s funny, because getting bit by the snake was scary and annoying, to say the least at the time.
But now, it’s one of the defining moments of my life. That snake venom proved to be poison for my body but medicine for my soul.
It taught me that I was way stronger than I thought I was. My soul is unbreakable. My determination is invincible. Nothing can stop me.
I kept taking steps until I had walked all the way across the United States of America.
Everybody has snakebite moments in their life.
Everybody has painful moments that ruin your plans and devastate your foundations of who you thought you were.
Someone reading this in a “snakebite moment” right now.

The pain you are experiencing now may be the very pain you are grateful for later.
