It feels so pussy idk
I’m just sayin 👀
𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗚 @monetxchange : FGUK: Monét X Change talks to us about the new project, “Grey Rainbow Vol. 1 “ it’s cunty, genre-bending and personal. Monét X Change: The inspiration behind this album is my desire to chronicle my escapades in love, sex, and desire once and for all. I want listeners to let go of any ideas they have about “drag music” and just sink into the story I’m telling because this came from my heart and soul. This is fully an R&B record, not a drag music project—just real dope-ass R&B. FGUK: Monét X Change on lead single, “Body” Monét X Change: The strings came about with my producing partner Canon Mapp. He suggested that we work with Maurice ”Pirahnahead” Herd who does incredible work with Victoria Monet. It was the right touch to add to the song to pull at the heartstrings. I wanted to release “Body” as the first single because it’s the most R&B-sounding song on the record. FGUK: Monét X Change on dealing with past relationships & embracing Y-OUR community. Monét X Change: At the end of the day, I’m just telling my truth…as an artist and as a queer person who writes songs to process life. I don’t go into a writing session thinking “How can I use my platform to address queer topics?” I go in ready to share my soul and my life story because it’s what I love to do, and it turns out that by being authentic and truthful about my story, it helps other people of my experience to feel seen too. I was surprised by how many people listened to this album and said “Wow this happened to me too.” That to me shows how powerful songwriting can be when it’s done from the heart. That’s what I can offer the world as an artist: my truth. FGUK: Monét X Change on Vol. 2 Monét X Change: Vol. 2 continues a lot of the themes from Vol. 1 but we’re turning up the tempo a bit, grooving and vibing more! Now that Vol. 1 has shown the heartbreak and letting go of past traumas, Vol. 2 is about reminding people that you’re that bitch!
