Wow.. what an incredible, fun-filled, memorable summer in Europe this was!! The summer of 2024 will go down as the most rewarding, remarkable experience in my professional career as a musician.. The record-breaking numbers this tour has generated on a global scale will never be matched and to be a small part of it is truly humbling.. Years from now I’ll be able to tell my kids what their dad was part of and that brings me such joy and happiness.. I have to thank my amazing wife @ashsidoti for flexing her superpowers as a music executive while raising our two children (one as a newborn) while I was gone for 4 months and our kids for understanding.. Ashley, your support is unwavering and I love you so much for all you are.. To the fans, my gosh there are no words to describe your incredible loyalty and love you have shown us.. You know you are the best of the best and have been from day 1.. 4 years ago today Ashley and I received a devastating phone call that crushed our world.. Her beloved stepdad Bill unexpectedly passed away in his sleep.. He was such an amazing man who adored and loved his daughters and grandchildren but sadly for far too short of time.. He was so wonderful to me we shared so many laughs, fun times, and experiences.. One I’ll never forget is when we announced to our families that we were expecting our first child by way of a photo that stated what the picture costs, the frame costs and the tag line “the look on your face when you realize there’s 5 of us in the picture”.. He thought for a second and looked up and said .. “No shit?!”.. That will always put a smile on my face.. So today like every time he came to visit, I went out for a big steak dinner (and yes I ate it all!) in honor of him… I love and miss you Bill.. I know you’re watching up above with that huge smile and great laugh.. Bill wrote the last page in his Notes on his phone very shortly before he passed.. What incredible words to live by.. I chose this George Strait classic as it’s about celebrating life and our precious time on Earth.. And I’m so glad he raised Ashley on amazing country music.. 🥩☺️❤️

Eric Carmen wasn’t just an amazing singer who could sound like Paul McCartney, Steve Marriott, or Brian Wilson. He wasn’t just an incredible songwriter who could channel Rachmaninoff while rocking out like Pete Townshend. He was a mentor to me. A best friend, father figure, and big brother all rolled into one. It’s been a month since you’ve passed and I still can’t believe I’ll never hear your wonderful storytelling, words of wisdom and encouragement, or your infectious cackle. If there’s one thing I could do to honor your legacy, it’s to have everyone who might see this, to listen to your incredible body of work you’ve left us. “Go All The Way”, “I Can Remember”, “I Wanna Be With You”, “Tonight”, “Let’s Pretend”, “Ecstasy”, “Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)”, “All By Myself”, “Never Gonna Fall In Love Again”, “Boats Against The Current”, “I’m Through With Love”, “Almost Paradise”, “The Way We Used To Be”, “Hungry Eyes”, and “Make Me Lose Control” to name a few.. Opening night November 2004 was amazing. A jam packed set of Raspberries classics rang from the rafters of a sold out House of Blues Cleveland. It was a triumphant return of a band loved by so many. Fans traveled as far as Japan and England. This led to a reunion tour that lasted through the end of 2007. Highlights included playing VH1 Classic Hanging With Raspberries, 2 nights at BB Kings NYC as well as HOB Chicago and Los Angeles. The celebrity attendance was very cool as a lot of our heroes came out to see the band. Eric was such a soundboard for me as I considered moving to Nashville in the fall of 2000. He said at my age I should absolutely do it and that it was the place to be if I wanted to pursue a career in music. We had many dinners and conversations about it and it became more and more apparent that he was giving me the best advice. So in the fall of 2007, I landed what ultimately became my dream gig with Taylor Swift. There were so many times I’d get an email, text, or phone call from Eric saying how happy he was for all the success that was coming our way or how proud he was of me. Like his songs, they were so heartfelt and eloquently written they’d bring me to tears. Continued..
