@vidushak ‘s film #AllIndiaRank is a few weeks away. Right after watching the film, I was silent. It felt too personal. It was like scenes from my childhood playing out on the big screen. Emotions that have been too far repressed have been ripped out and posted too publicly. And even though I’ve never been to IIT or come from a small town, the time it’s set in was a time I know only too well – the 90s in India. It’s a gentle whisper in times of loud and angsty men on screen. Delicate nibbed ink pens placed in front of heavy duty guns. Roses on rocks. This is the feeling the film leaves you with. It’s important to understand this film in the context of what’s being dished out in our times.
