I know it may be harder to make more eco- conscious decisions when running a business, so I made some non- negotiables when we got started:
as a beginner, keep it small;
we use mostly local produce for ingredients, availabile at the markets, or we try to order in bulk.
We reuse, reduce, recycle what we can.ā»ļø
We can’t always avoid needing products that come with single- use plastic, but we make sure not to sell anything in them instead. (We have free purified waterš§) and;
we make sure to use 100% compostable containers for our take- away. These are by @econestph! Unfortunately, the go- to paper cups we find available at supermarkets are usually still lined with plastic, making it not entirely biodegradable. So are those cupse that have been bleached.
I’m not perfect, I don’t know all the ways to do so. But I’d like to try my best to run a sustainable business, and these are my own ways, and hopefully we get to learn more as we go.š | Posted on 02/Aug/2024 03:54:29
