We are all deeply hurting. I have tried to write this for 3 days now and it’s been with a broken heart. So much more that needs to be said. So many thoughts and feelings, yet no words that can fully cover how I feel and what I want to say – I am, heartbroken, hurt and angry…. I knew Lazar from our encounters at European semis, his energy and happiness was truly contagious. He had so much life left to live. I have broken down multiple times over this weekend knowing that he will not be out there with us again or in the arms of his loved ones. Many times have I stood on the start line being scared of what was to come, telling myself “it’s only temporary whatever pain I will feel it is only temporary…”. I have found comfort in knowing that even if I would push past my limits somebody would be there to pull me out – nobody was there to pull Lazar out . The sport we all love failed Lazar and his family. I am so sorry Lazar. I pray for his family and friends during this unthinkable time. 🖤💔
I am absolutely devastated by what happened this morning. Trying to comprehend this. I have no words just so much sadness. He’s always been such a bundle of energy and happiness when I have been around him. So much he was yet to do. Sending my thoughts and prayers to all of Lazars family and everyone close to him 💔 GoFund me for his family in story.

CrossFit Games Check in done, then you know the action is about to happen that’s when the butterflies change to a little bit more aggressive beat and you need to get your Game face on! I can’t believe it has been 3 months ❤️ Body – gradually recovering, what is taking the longest to recover are my abdominals, but that was the same last time around. Like last time my body is not the same and it won’t be. I am just gaining more control over it week by week ❤️🩹 Training – I am lifting! (not snatches because my c-section scar does not like to get hit 😅) I am running and more and more gymnastics are being added in. Atlas – thriving!! Vik will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ I grew up here – surrounded by mountains, right by the ocean and it provided me a front row seat to how incredibly beautiful Iceland can be and how powerful nature is here.
