This is a little nag from me to you if you are putting off having a Mammogram after receiving an invitation. The NHS Breast Screening Programme invites all women in the UK from the age of 50 to 70 registered with a GP for screening every 3 years. If you had to pay for this privately it would cost circa £275 and yet – I quote from the NHS website 35.4% of women did not attend their appointments following an invitation, increasing to 46.3% of women who were being invited for the first time. The screening programme has led to cancers being detected in 18,942 women across England in 2022-23, which otherwise may not have been diagnosed and treated until a later stage. NHS England is calling for women to put their health at the top of their to-do list and come forward for breast screening when invited. The call comes following a major £70 million Government investment in the Digital Transformation of Screening initiative to modernise screening services over the next three years. IF YOU GET THE LETTER YOU HAVE TO GO. Don’t forget to constantly check yourself in-between visits. Thanks to campaigns like CHANGE CHECK launched by @lorraine @thetittygritty and @futuredreamscharity we know how to do this and if you don’t pop over to their Insta of better still website. Nag over 💖
So today I’ve actually got as question for you, does anybody know anyone who can mend holes in Ugg type boots. These are not actually Uggs they are @australialuxeco
3 cobblers have said No 😬
I’ve asked my upholster, who said bring them along, and he can see if he can put them through the machine, so we shall see.
But, if any of you can mend them or know someone who can please do let me know, will be very grateful!
Thank you x

Victoria Beckham is a fan and so is Charlotte Tilbury.
Journalist India Knight wears many hats but the one we are talking about today is her Sunday Times, Style Magazine beauty column – It’s a go to read, and just in time for Christmas India has put all her finds into a book called ‘What Works When You’re Older’. She tackles neck skin, contouring (do we really like to look like a Drag Queen?) Thinning hair and the laughable amount of products some instagram sites promote, we can’t leave home without – Heaven preserve us!!
On a personal note thank you, many years ago you proffered a few kind words when everyone else was tasting blood and going in for the kill, never forgotten.
X

Oil based cleaners are the best says practically every dermatologist, unless you are battling a problem skin.
But most of us don’t have problem skin, Its product companies who tell us we do, or potentially will, so they can sell us more ’stuff’
Trust me I’ve spent a small fortune buying into their ‘Fear and Fix’ marketing but no more.
I created BALM 6 because its honesty in a pot – Designed for 6 uses (and probably more) you’ll wonder how you lived without it and like me why you’ve spent so much money on useless marketing promises.
Every night it takes off my makeup and nourishes my;
Lips
Brows and Lashes
Cuticles
Skin
Hair
No nasties, packed only with the good stuff;
Shea Butter
Restoring Coconut Oil
Repairing Grape
Hair loving Castor Oil
Natures Hyaluronic Acid Prickly Pear
Vitamin e
Antibacterial Sea Moss
With the natural aroma of;
Lemongrass
Rosemary and
Vanilla
To order BALM 6 head to the link in my bio, if you want to get yours before Christmas please order by the end of tomorrow so we can get it to you in time 🫶🏼
You might have heard me discussing Osteoporosis and why early detection is vital. Knowledge is power; the sooner we know our T-Score, the better our chances of avoiding needless fractures, which can cause massive inconvenience, sometimes death, and costs the NHS £4.6 billion annually. In 2009, I had a DEXA Test (an X-ray that measures bone strength) during a check-up for Hell’s Kitchen. As an active woman in my late 40s, I was shocked to learn I had osteopenia, the precursor to osteoporosis. My doctor wasn’t concerned, giving me basic lifestyle advice and calcium tablets, without mentioning menopause’s impact on bones. Discovering my condition early, I’ve worked to keep ‘The Bone Eating Monster’ at bay. I see my bones as a bank storing calcium and phosphorus, crucial for bone strength and overall health. Without healthy deposits through diet, supplements, and exercise, my bone health would decline. Bone density scores range from a healthy 1 to a fragile -4. In 2018, mine was -2.3, and now it’s -1.8. My goal is 0.0. Recently, I tried a new bone diagnostic machine at @mayfairhealth with Sports Therapist Paul McGee @profortis_sports_therapy . The @echolightspa machine is radiation-free, portable, and patient-friendly, providing the same reading as my recent DEXA scan, plus a Fragility Score. Our bones are tough outside with a spongy honeycomb structure inside (the trabecula). If this depletes, bones are more likely to fracture. My trabecula is in good condition, so my fracture risk in the next five years is low, between 5-10%. Early diagnosis and efforts with diet and exercise seem effective. I’m impressed with this machine’s accuracy and ease of use, which can help expand diagnosis nationwide. I’ll discuss the Biodensity osteogenic loading machine by Power Plate in another post. Thanks to @GaryRhodes360, @londonosteoporosisclinic Dr. Tater Mahmud, @hum2n Dr. Mohamed Enayat, and Simon Gilchrist for promoting health. Thank you @dailymail for the feature, you can read the full article via my website – www.antheaturner.com

I think I eat well, but if put me under the microscope the phrase ‘Could Do Better’ would definitely come up. So how do I improve? I need a worm in my head who prods and inspires me Sandie Vara @thewellnesschef_sv has been friend for many years he’s a Keto maniac, gives me hell over my love of a puddings and not always reading the small print when it comes to secret sugars and additives. Sandie has amazing energy and with great success for Sports Stars who want to improve their game. And now, he’s not only got me but I’ve dragged Dad and my vegan Sister @wendy_turner_webster who loves anything to do with a potato in to my food improvement game. We now have a What’s App Group! Wendy wants to open up her vegan diet by not relying on potatoes and other pre-packaged vegan food. Dad a slim, tall, vegetarian of 91 wants to lower his sugar intake and widen his home cooking skills. I love cooking, but want to eat ‘cleaner’. Funny thing is, even without Sandie saying a word the fact we’ve put food at the top of our family agenda, I’ve done an immediate clean up – Red wine not in the house, when out I have a shot of white diluted with so much sparkling water don’t know why I bother! Fruit intake is now mainly berries, and pudding hasn’t crossed my lips for weeks, and I’ve just puled together ingredient to make my own healthy snack bars as even they, when you look at the price and ingredient are largely a joke. Like a lot of us we are trawling this amazing health information highway we have at our fingertips. The people I trust and listen to their podcasts etc are; @lizearlewellbeing – You have to get her book ‘A better Second Half’ @zoe – Excellent guests who make everything easy to understand. @drchatterjee – Again joined by excellent guests with a wonderful pool of knowledge between them. @doctorchrisvt @hum2n – (Dr Mohammed Enayat) – Listen to the one with guests Dr Aseem Malhotra and Dr Mark Menolascino on Cardiac Health. Host of others but these are the ones at the forefront of my mind. I don’t intend on being religious about this because food is also a huge enjoyment to me, but who wants to say “No” to more energy.
Thought you’d like to see one of the film we made when in Crete with @mistralsinglesgr Had the best time with them – The family run the hotel like an extension of their home and anyone who visits will be immediately scooped up by them and fellow guests. This is really worth watching if you want to venture out on your own and scared – Don’t be because you will NEVER eat alone. Thanks to the owners of @mistralsinglsgr Adonis and Aura knowing practically everyone in Chania we eat only the best and it just kept coming.
