Carol Alt Instagram – It broke my heart when I saw my friend and collaborator Ezequiel de la Rosa’s home and studio get flooded. It was a place we had spent so much time together. Not just shooting videos for all of my friends on Instagram, for all of you… But because we spent lunch times eating Cuban food that he made.
We would argue over ideas and thoughts and pictures and videos…
This was our place.
After I got over the shock of watching the rain pour down in the middle of our sacred spot, I called Ez and told him that this could be the best thing that ever happened to him…After having renovated my place and knowing how much it cost me, he was going to get a fabulous facelift And that was our mantra through the entire renovation; that mantra was:
“and this, too, shall pass”(Abraham Lincoln)
And I think that is the greatest saying of all time.
Whatever you’re going through whatever is dragging you down, it helps you to keep your head up to know that this, too, shall pass.
