Normaal als ik in een wedstrijd voorbereiding zit dan wordt mijn huid altijd heel schoon. Maar deze keer merkte ik dat mijn huid best onrustig werd – denise Hormonen hebben een enorme invloed op onze huid, zowel tijdens de zwangerschap als in het dagelijks leven. Tijdens de zwangerschap kun je bijvoorbeeld te maken krijgen met de bekende ‘pregnancy glow’, maar ook met minder leuke veranderingen zoals pigmentvlekken, acne of een droge huid. Dit komt door de schommelingen in hormoonniveaus, zoals oestrogeen en progesteron. Ook buiten de zwangerschap spelen hormonen een cruciale rol. Gedurende de menstruatiecyclus, de overgang en zelfs door stress kunnen hormonale veranderingen de conditie van je huid beïnvloeden. Dit kan resulteren in een verhoogde talgproductie, gevoeligheid, of juist uitdroging van de huid. Het is belangrijk om je huidverzorgingsroutine aan te passen aan deze hormonale veranderingen.
