Copy every voice actor in a scene, their pitch, energy, volume, and humor. Ask yourself “Do I really sound like I’m in the show?” Once you do, THEN record the audition!! Soundalike #voiceover auditions are generally for the purpose of seamlessly replacing the existing actors voice, in hopes that the viewer/consumer can’t tell the difference. We all have specific tones to our voices, and we can’t all sound like everyone else. These auditions are very specific, so be realistic about whether or not you (or your kiddo) can really sound exactly like the character. It’s truly nothing personal if you don’t book!
