Gina Torres Instagram – They say it comes in 3s. 😔 We lost some very courageous and beautiful souls this weekend. @theshando in #90210 was the HS teen who just wanted to fit into a strange new world. We watched her grow into a woman who loved and lived fiercely. And shared her fight so others could feel a little less alone.
#Dr.RuthWestheimer came along in my life as the woman who bravely and joyfully talked about sex at a time when my mother like so many thousands of parents, could not, would not did not have the tools to do so with their kids. Little did I know there were plenty of clueless adults out in the world as well! Her life’s work was to change that. To demystify and unlock the one thing that is an essential part of us all. Our sex and the joy of sharing it with the person you choose.
If Dr.Ruth taught me what my body was capable of, then #RichardSimmons taught me to keep my body strong. It was impossible not to smile and feel seen by him. He was the first to show us that obesity is a disease and lived to rid people of their shame so they could live better lives.
