Isabella Rossellini Instagram – In Tenerife I asked to visit the now abandoned house and lab of Wolfgang Kohler . He made wonderfully simple and clever experiments proving the chimps can think, reason and plan different strategies He hang a banana on top of the cage out of reach of the chimps . Some animal stuck up wooden cases to reach the banana , some use a pole . Reading about Kohler’s work made me want to be an ethologist.
I am in the Canary Islands for my show DARWIN ‘S SMILE and learned from the mayor @marcosinese that Kolher’s house has been declared a landmark and will be soon restored.
