Please find my full statement below. #vote It is with great enthusiasm and unwavering confidence that I endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States. As someone who has had the privilege of working with her in the White House and witnessing her leadership and dedication firsthand, I can wholeheartedly say that Vice President Harris is exceptionally prepared to lead our nation and continue the vital progress of the Biden-Harris Administration. I worked hard to help elect the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 and look forward to working equally as hard help elect Kamala Harris President. Throughout her career, Vice President Harris has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the well-being of all Americans. Her leadership in working to restore and protect a woman’s right to choose has been nothing short of exemplary. Her leadership in this critical area, as well as her broader efforts to uplift and empower those still left behind, exemplifies the kind of determination and compassion our country needs. The progress we have achieved under the Biden-Harris administration has been significant, but our work is far from complete. Vice President Harris has the vision, experience, and fortitude to build upon this foundation, ensuring that we continue to advance toward a more inclusive and prosperous future for all. Our nation’s future is at a crossroads, and the fate of our democracy is on the line. Thank you @POTUS for all you have done for America. History will judge you as one of our greatest Presidents. My statement is below: I have had the distinct honor and privilege of knowing President Joe Biden, not just as a remarkable leader, but as a dear friend and mentor. Today, as he announces his decision not to seek re-election, my heart is filled with a profound sense of sadness and admiration for the man who has served our nation with unwavering dedication and grace. President Biden has led our country through some of its most challenging times with a steady hand and a compassionate heart. His historic presidency has been marked by significant achievements, from steering us through a global pandemic to championing economic recovery, creating millions of new jobs, expanding NATO and strengthening American’s position abroad, and rebuilding America’s infrastructure here at home. His decision today is another example of President Biden putting America’s interest before his personal interest. On a personal level, Joe Biden embodies the qualities that define true greatness: humility, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of what is just and right. In the midst of all the discussions the past few weeks, President Biden took time to call me a couple of days ago to tell me that he loved and appreciated me and to thank me for all I have done for him. He has faced adversity with courage and resilience, always prioritizing the well-being of others. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life and his unwavering belief in the goodness of humanity have been a source of inspiration for me and countless others. I thank the President for his service to this country and for his friendship. I pray that we will now do our part and ensure that our democracy will continue to stand.
