Morning beach yoga class. I am hesitant to post my Yoga retreat in Costa Rica as it feels frivolous, but this isn’t how my life always is. And also if it could be or was – or is for anyone who lives in this Eden full time – Good for you! Because there is suffering in the world and frankly, so many wrongs and horrors, and it serves no one for all of us to, as witnesses to the evils, who can’t control it, to also suffer. For most of my life I’ve felt I needed to suffer with my loved ones who were suffering to stay connected to them and I worried that if they weren’t ok, I wouldn’t be.
But new chapter so I’m having a glorious week. I’ve dreamed of coming here for so long. And here I am and here it is. 🤷♀️ #costarica #yogaretreat

We think he’s about 16 now and doing just fine! We recently discovered he has high blood pressure but on medication it’s now perfect. He has very few teeth left and loooooves his heated pads. He bullies the dogs but they give him a wide birth and coexist. He likes the boy cats, but Abigail was such a bitch to him for so long he’s been grown impatient with her. He’s a sweet guy who’s especially bonded to me. His person died and he didn’t get a home for two years as he was a senior. It broke my heart so I took him in even though I didn’t need more cats. Beautiful! So sweet! In LA there are a lot of coyote haters who want them exterminated. It’s such hubris and entitlement to take someone’s land and then want to kill them. You have to protect your pets the same as you would your human children from cars on the road, but all cars don’t have to be exterminated. This is a refreshing post for me to see. Wish most people were this conscientious.

Sammy had a dental surgery yesterday and had two teeth pulled, and it was very traumatic for him (and mommy). He came home and hid under the comforter for 24 hours. 😞 He was on pain meds so I just stayed with him but decided to see if the dogs could cheer him up after one day. When he heard them come in the bedroom he came out from under immediately and this was what happened when they saw each other. 😩💞💓💗He loves them soooooo much! I have to wait another day before he sees Loshe as Loshe is always weird with him until that vet smell wears off.
Thank God I get all my pets teeth non anesthetic dental cleanings every 4 months! As Sammy had just been seen by a mobile vet and the vet did NOT see this tooth reabsorption happening. Did you know one reason why many vets just order an anesthetic dental cleaning (by age or even yearly😱, not by need) is because they aren’t comfortable OR TRAINED to fully examining inside a cats mouth while they are awake!!! It’s also bread and butter for them (as well as vaccines but an indoor cat need no vaccines. There are no communicable cross species diseases).
Sammy’s teeth had no tartar and no decay! – he had a resorption happening where his body was eating the tooth from the inside out 😬. It’s a mystery why this happens and I pray it does not happen again!! Most of my pets never need even one anesthetic dental in their lifetimes and never more than one and have perfect teeth. It’s just common sense!! We get our teeth cleaned twice a year with out anesthesia! Some dental techs know how to burrito a cat and clean their teeth just like a humans! My Dogs are easy, They just lie there with their mouths open. Don’t let ANYONE tell you different!! (Some unscrupulous vets will, so I may have to turn off comments again as they really get angry).

Dad would have been 97 today! Will miss him until I see him again. He was a great ally for me. He was taken too young in my humble opinion – He was such a strong vibrant force – But It’s interesting when we get in to these birthdays where it’s not likely he would have lived to be 97, and he certainly would not have any longer been as strong as as vibrant, in body anyway. These are the threats from @alexmillerwellness if you don’t buy her program. I just witnessed what I think is very disappointing- when a woman feels the need to not support other women, for cash. Somehow it seems worse when women do it to women. Do you agree? I have left shoulder pain, right hip pain and a new tummy “baby bump”. I saw a thing online that said something about those three things being connected and I clicked on “these 3 simple exercises will fix that” I sat through a FORTY FIVE MINUTE infomercial where Alex said about ten times “in a moment I’m gong to show you the three simple exercises for shoulder pain” SHE NEVER DID. And in that 45 minutes while I was doing my own shoulder and hip stretches – I heard her say some truly off 1950 things. The first one that I didn’t take a screen shot of was something about how she was having trouble conceiving or was hesitant to get pregnant and her partner wanted to leave her. I thought, good, let him! But at the end of this tiresome 45 minutes!!! She says, you have two choices: buy her online course or don’t and if you don’t…all these bad things could happen to you. (See screen shots I tried to get in reel) But if you do buy it …. “Imagine how you’ll feel when your partner sees you thinner, when you walk in to your exercise class thinner, imagine how great your relationships and your entire life will be…etc. Of course then is the “my manger says I should charge $150…but I charged $75 …but TODAY IT’s JUST ____ BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU” Really??? She’s cares but yet I was just threatened with worsening health, and you never shared those 3 simple exercises. 🤔 Why do people feel the need to overwhelm others to make a living. Just offer what you make! And be supportive!!! @alexmillerwellness what do you have to say for your choices?
