I don’t usually celebrate my birthday – as an August baby, it was hard to wrangle a party bc all the kids were on vacation. Once my parents split, we didn’t do parties. I had one at 16 – a surprise thrown by my sister and next door besties. A house party yhat involved a lot of weed and Old English 800. I had another one at 40 – which was lovely. Yesterday I was just surrounded in love. Between all of the good wishes here, texts from friends & family and flowers from all my kids as well as friends and colleagues and so many beautiful gifts…I felt very loved and so lucky. Thank you all for thinking of me. Now that my alleged age is out of the bag – I’ll try not to ignore my birthdays in the future. ❤️❌⭕️‼️⭐️

Sam Rubin was my friend and colleague – on this ride with me for the entire 30 years in this business. I loved making him laugh – even more I loved shocking him just slightly as I did many times on KTLA & his show, Hollywood Uncensored. He was unfailingly supportive, a beloved fixture on the red carpets – lately our running gag was him asking me what my son said as I left for an awards show – and laughing heartily when I’d report that he didn’t really notice I was in a gown and asked me to pick up food. He even agreed when I asked him to serve our union. I honestly don’t know how a red carpet or press event will feel without Sam. Hollywood lost today. Until I see you again, Sam…I will miss you.
