Look around you. Every single woman you see is fighting a bloody battle, often invisible, just to be permitted to exist. Your most progressive friend, educational institution, social media platform, boss, agent, well wisher, sport, home, office, smoke break, board room, road, garden and gutter will deny women their most basic right on every occasion. Privilege won’t protect you from it. Muscle won’t protect you from it, Rights won’t protect you from it. Education most certainly won’t protect you as we witness with horror and anger and complete resignation right now. There’s no winning when you live in survival mode. Theres no winning when you can barely breathe because there’s a constant scream stuck in your throat. There’s no winning when you live to please everyone just enough that they don’t hate you, unfollow you, fire you, rape you, throw acid on you or kill you. There’s just no fucking winning here.
