This was my very first shot, of the very first scene that we filmed on Yahaan. The whole crew was up at the crack of dawn, on that crisp, chilly, winter morning. The sun just popped out on this clear day that significantly would be, the first day of the rest of my life as an adult I knew nothing. Only blind trust in a maker whose vision was unparalleled. 19years on, people still remember the name of my character and thats all because an exemplary new filmmaker, Shoojit Sircar made a memorably beautiful debut film. Thank you for letting me be Ada. @jimmysheirgill my first co-star. Looking too handsome in this film.

This day 19 years ago, Yahaan released. In the wake of the tragedy of the July 26th cloud burst over Mumbai, our film too, unfortunately, washed away in the aftermath of that tragically unprecedented climate event. Over the years tho, as people started watching the movie on tv plays, thats when the momentum on Yahaan built up. Again, it was a film ahead of its time. I’m grateful that it caught up with audiences, who have only praised the film, even upon first watch today. To the incredibly talented Shoojit Sircar. Who made a film he believed in. Moved mountains, swam through upstream rivers, and faced fearsome lions to make this film and make it with his vision. To chance upon this college girl from his Cadbury ad.. Taking a huge shot on someone, based on instinct. Literally putting your money behind it. You single handedly changed the course of my life. For that, i am forever grateful. To the Producers Garry and Robbie Grewal. For being the support system, any new age director making a new age film needs To @jimmysheirgill for being pitch perfect as Capt Aman and pitch perfect too as a humane being! Jakob Ihre’s hauntingly beautiful cinematography, are visual treatments seen in Hindi cinema for the very first time. The colour palette, a blue cold tinge to the film, the first of its kind.. To Gulzar Saab, one of the greatest poets of the Hindi language. We are eternally grateful that you gave Yahaan its soul. To my young mind then, it was ‘lyrics’. As the years went on, its been poetry Shantanu Moitra, thank you for the music. It uplifts the heart of any listener

In the Shadow or in the Light? I’ve been re-obsessing about Micheal Jackson off late. Ufff.. what beautiful music. With Liberian Girl being my all time Fav. A song I’ve listened to, on loop, music blaring without anyone around, talking between. He was an artist who said so much through his music, yet kept his songs catchy. Forever Danceable to. Forever Singable to. He sang about Climate Change, saving our planet, decades before it became the pressing concern that it is today. If you were too young to listen to his music, give it a go right away, watching his music videos. He pioneered the art of the music video medium, making it the movie like visual feast that we are used to today. Heal the World, Earth Song, Dirty Diana, Stranger in Moscow, apart from his Disco hits, being my favorites. He is, and always will be the few greats, of all artists of history combined. #michealjackson #climatechange #music @azotiique @pritamnayakofficial @@stylebysaachivj

It’s going to be a Crimson Tide afternoon again. I must have rented the movie at least 10 times this year. @amazonprime, can you finally give us a Buy option on it.. Tony Scott is by far one of my favorite directors, and when Hans Zimmer scores, it’s a deadly combo that keeps me coming back to his films over the years I just hope his features are removed from behind pay walls for easy access to Gen Z.. Hear the absolute original version of the Main theme. (Which i couldn’t find on here) when you rent the Movie today.. Happy Sunday
