In 2011 I was offered the role in Mission Impossible- Ghost protocol. I remember I got the call from my team as I was training in my theater class with my great coach Catlin Adams. I left the class to take the call and was SHOCKED like what ?!?! They saw me on CRASH and offered me the role?? Amazing!! Hard work pays off. It was a few days before Yom Kippur so I went into fasting so excited and grateful for this role that I knew will be life changing. But days later I got another call ( after a contract was drafted) that they changed their minds and went blond. Things like this can happen but I was devastated and felt like so disposable. It took me a while to get over and I got some amazing roles like in Third Person and Tyrant and I kept believing that other great opportunities will come. This is the first time I’m sharing this cause I feel like now is the time for me to invite the next mission impossible in. Grande Boccelli has graced the world not only with his voice but with his kindness. He sees more than the rest of us and makes us feel heard and notice his kindness to our hostages has touched my heart and I had to fly to Italy and feed my soul and thank him that he chose his art to express humanity and compassion above all. I don’t take my life for granted. I know how lucky I am to live out in the open and see these trees while my brothers and sister are still held hostage Traumatised for life. The beauty of this world and the kindness of mankind fill my soul. I literally flew in from Israel to a small place in Tuscany to feed my soul. To listen to love. To inhale freedom and that all exploded in a deep cry. The guilt of living and being free when we are still in war and the fear to be Jewish. It’s real. I put on a great show and I smile and fight back criticism and racism but my heart is bleeding and wants peace, we always wanted peace and if I fail to get one with my neighbours though I’m still hopeful I’ll find peace within me and for that I need nature, I need loving people to be reminded this is a beautiful world and we can be small if we chose to be.
