Rashida Tlaib Instagram – Even though we were expected to win our Democratic Primary, it still made my heart so full to have one of the hardest working teams and committed volunteers out there, ensuring folks have access to vote. To see that they love our district as much as I do and understand what it means to lead with compassion was overwhelming at times. They all remind me why I do this work every day.
Thank you all for your faith in me and for believing in this girl who grew up in Southwest Detroit to Palestinian immigrant parents who never dreamt I could be fighting for my residents in Congress one day.
