I’m running for Mayor in my home town of Sedona Arizona. • The last two years have been an absolute wake up call. • The powers that be can not continue to tear us apart if we work together to save our homes and our community. That is where it begins. • We are watching massive conglomerates of corporate interest turn our sweet rural community into an unrecognizable theme park. • The heart of our community is strong. And even though we do not always see eye to eye, we will respect one another’s journey and pick up our sheilds to defend our community against this incoming takeover. • We will not allow the same elements who have gotten our community into this mess, to continue on any further. Where families will carry on the Sedona legacy, and we will watch over our land against the destruction of mismanagement. • When our community is treated with dignity, the visitors who come will follow suit and treat our land with the same respect. • Local leadership matters. My family moved to Sedona in 1994 so that I could receive a good education at the brand new high school. I was in the first four year graduating class of ‘98. • In three decades, my family has built our lives with deep roots into the community that we love. • I returned to Sedona permanently, seeking the same quality of life for my son’s future. • What I found was the overgrowth of tourism and a seemingly lack of regard for the local residents. • We always had tourism here, however the balance that once complemented our lives, now edges us out of relevance. • A town’s primary concern should be to protect its own residents. Its primary objective should not be profit. • I seek to restore the voice of community as the primary voice.
