Swarnaa Rajalingam Instagram – I had such an unforgettable experience putting this whole shoot together. I had the chance to be in Shanghai through work and I absolutely LOVE wearing our South Asian attire in other parts of the world so I had to seize the opportunity. I researched photographers and came across @thegreyexperience and loved his work especially the way he photographed melanin so reached out and he was so onboard! As per the branding of @thesareeroom and the requirements they had for their campaign I found this beautiful art gallery in Shanghai. From waking up bright and early on the morning of my second last day in China before flying out to glamming myself, styling this beautiful @thesareeroom ensemble to getting to play Rapunzel in Shanghai – it was such a unique experience. I feel super blessed to have had this opportunity to travel and also work with an amazing creative. To be able to showcase the beauty of our South Asian clothes in the heart of Shanghai shot through the lens of a Ghanian was an epic collab come to life!
