Chris Hardwick Instagram - New human alert!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Dimity Facente Hearst-Hardwick HAS ARRIVED TODAY❤️❤️❤️❤️ Lyds loved this picture so much she requested I post it to let everyone know that she and baby are doing great! The experience of watching Lydia go through pregnancy and give birth to our sweet little peanut was humbling and inspiring. She is an absolute warrior and I am grateful, blessed, and honored! The first moment seeing and hearing our child after all this time is indelibly imprinted onto my soul. Holy crap this whole process is amazing! Delivery was originally scheduled for Feb 9 but the baby’s development had plateaued, the placenta had hardened, her fluid reserves were low, and she was breech so they took her out a wee bit early at just over 37 weeks. Lyds is happy, Dimity is perfect and I am over the moon with love for the both of them. 👶🏻✨🥳 #dadsofinstagram

He dedicated the last 30 years of his life to raising funds and awareness to finding a cure for the disease that took his sister’s life in 1994, Scleroderma. Chris Hardwick Instagram - Hey Happy Father’s Day from @otterhoundranch!! We got a farm a few hours outside of LA and are having the best time with this lil tater tot. It’s so amazing being here and watching her become this cool little human literally BY THE DAY. I used to be consumed by career stuff, thinking that was going to fill some hole in my soul and make me feel complete, or “enough”. But it’s always temporary, ya know? The second you finish one thing there’s always another mountain to climb or accomplishment to chase. Being a father has been the absolute best and most fulfilling experience of my life. It’s the wholeness I used to think was in external things but could never quite reach. OF COURSE I love working and am grateful that I get to do what I do, but I don’t feel the need to define myself by it anymore, if that makes sense. I’m Dimity’s dad now, and that is more than enough for me. ❤️

Chris Hardwick Instagram - This photo was taken on Sunday, Oct. 8, which was my TWENTY YEAR sobriety birthday. I am beyond grateful for that single decision because it led to so many wonderful things. A couple of days prior, I brought home a vintage guitar that I had restrung with nylon strings, reasoning that if Dimity had any interest in it that it would be better for her hands than metal ones. It turns out she DID have an interest….as soon as I walked in the house with that guitar, she ran up to me with a small toy one she has with the BIGGEST smile on her face. So we sat on the floor for a while and played. It was one of my all time favorite things ever. And by “played” I mean she smacked at the strings for a while and laughed and laughed but I have no doubt she’ll still be better at it than me in no time. 🤣 I’m grateful for @lydiahearst, our little bear Dimity (who turned 21 months old today!!!), and the fact that my sobriety gives me the gifts of clarity and presence for them and for moments like this. I mention it just in case it helps someone who might be thinking about it, on the fence, or struggling with it and might need some encouragement or a positive sign. ❤️ Anyway, feeling happy and thankful and hoping the same for you! 😃

Chris Hardwick Instagram - @lydiahearst & I went to @screamfestla last night to watch the premiere of her movie American Boogeywoman (streaming everywhere now!) which was the first time we’ve been to a movie theater in like 2 years! I was afraid to give a big toothy smile because we had been shooting pics in the theater right before this where we were shoveling handfuls of popcorn into our mouths and I had what can only be described as a holiday tree’s worth of popcorn string in my teeth. Had I opened my mouth, you’d have seen CHUNKS of popped corn that were wedged between my gums to the extent that it would have looked like I was doing a bit. (Note: my dad always carried toothpicks with him and now I finally get it.) We had such a blast, Lydia looked amazing and was FANTASTIC in the movie. Also, I’m digging the threads! We were AUTUMNAL AF. Excited to be out with my amazing pregnant wife during our favorite time of year! 🎃 📸: @acefotopro for @gettyimages

I was afraid to give a big toothy smile because we had been shooting pics in the theater right before this where we were shoveling handfuls of popcorn into our mouths and I had what can only be described as a holiday tree’s worth of popcorn string in my teeth. Had I opened my mouth, you’d have seen CHUNKS of popped corn that were wedged between my gums to the extent that it would have looked like I was doing a bit. (Note: my dad always carried toothpicks with him and now I finally get it.) We had such a blast, Lydia looked amazing and was FANTASTIC in the movie. Also, I’m digging the threads! Just a few more decorations and it’ll be in full Yuletide mode. Now you might think it’s a tad early, but normally we do a Halloween tree in Oct that rolls into Xmas so we’re actually right on schedule.
