Dan Walker Instagram - Reading through some lovely tributes to Rob Burrow this morning.

This remains the picture that says it all for me and gets me every time I see it.

Rob became a shadow of his former self but those around him - like Sir Kevin Sinfield - helped to lift him up and showed us all what true friendship means ❤️

Dan Walker Instagram - Just spoken to Tony.
He is devastated that someone has stolen his leaf blower, batteries and tools from the park.
I’ve managed to calm him down but if anyone has any information or knows anything… he just wants them back so he can carry on looking after the memorial

Dan Walker Instagram - 😍😍 love this pic of me and Dan… been desperate to share it from when he and the family all came up to celebrate my birthday with us 2 weeks ago.

You know those friendships that you have which you just know are gonna transcend everything else no matter what… well that’s Mr Walker for me… became thick as thieves we did during our time on strictly (we were like the ‘mam and dad’ of the group) and we’ve stayed close ever since and I just know we always will.

Love him to bits - and the happiness in this picture just sums up our friendship perfectly - thank you @nickyjohnston for capturing it so perfectly and big thank you to @hellomag for sharing!
Dan Walker Instagram - Some lovely news… we are about to start filming a new travel series for @channel5_tv

Watch this space for more details. We’ll let you know when you can watch us wandering around together as soon as we can (champagne optional 😂🥂)

Dan Walker Instagram - Southgate steps down with typical class.

Thank you Gareth. After years of average performances at major tournaments you gave us some brilliant nights on the big occasions.

You brought the team together and helped them build a platform to show the power of their voices off the pitch.

You reminded us of the sartorial significance of a waistcoat and, most importantly, you did it all at the same time as being a thoroughly decent bloke 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I’m pretty sure the men’s team will win something soon and it will be on the foundations laid by this fella.

Dan Walker Instagram - Still slightly baffled as to why there was no canopy, no umbrella and they didn’t seem to consider doing it inside

Dan Walker Instagram - Great fun filming in the sunshine again today. What an amazing country we have on our doorstep.

Laughs, walks and snacks all day long

Coming to a TV screen near you later this year 📺

Can’t share a picture of the sky… but here’s a cute dog #Winnie ❤️

Ok… it’s not the best football in history but let’s just enjoy the win.

Room for improvement but #England have found a way in every game and that’s all that matters

Dan Walker Instagram - Back home from a lovely family holiday in Athens 🇬🇷

I went there to cover a football match many years ago but never explored the city. We loved the welcome, the weather and the wonderful history… wherever you look (the food was top-drawer too).

Other observations…

All the marble makes the streets unusually slippy
Never been to a city with so much graffiti
Side-streets are a real treat with so much to do and Anafiotika is well-worth a wander around but… there are signs up to respect the people who live there
They love their pistachios
The Acropolis & Parthenon live up to the hype - but go early and use the smaller south-east entrance (by the museum) and get there about 730 with a pre-booked ticket to avoid the crowds. It opens at 8 and by 830 it’s rammed.
The sunset from Lycabettus Hill is well worth the walk up there
The changing of the guard in Syntagma Square is fascinating and the National Gardens next door are gorgeous - especially wandering round with lunch from the famous Kostas’ souvlaki - 30 minute lunch queue but it’s mega
The sea around the Greek Islands (we went to Agistri and Aegina) is as good as it gets
It’s expensive… particularly ice-cream
Loved the historical significance of standing in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul on Mars Hill
The metro is great but buy your trips in bulk to save a bit of cash
It’s always hot ☀️

Thank you Athens for a great break ❤️

Dan Walker Instagram - An incredible night at @royalalberthall I got to dance for the first time in one of the most iconic venues in the world watched by my mum and my daughter.

@mrdanwalker and I got to dance at Prom Praise in front of thousands of people to the most beautiful piece of music, Chariots Of Fire from Vangelis, at a celebration of the life and legacy of Eric Liddell. It is hard to describe how it feels to be dancing on stage surrounded by a full orchestra. It is like floating on air. You can feel the music underneath your feet.

We were so well looked after by the Prom Praise production and I wanted to thank all the volunteers who made it so special and the whole team behind it.

It was such an inspiring night and I will hold those memories forever.

Thank you to @brett_d_cove for capturing some of the magic both on and off the stage.

P.S. We might come back next year with our lobster outfits

Dan Walker Instagram - I’m aware there are far more important things going on in the world but… are there accepted boundaries when it comes to other people’s skips?

My dad always taught us that, if you want to pop something in someone else’s skip, you wait a few days and then you go and ask if they have any space left and they mind.

We had one this week, right outside the house, while we had some work done. Everyday there has been loads of new stuff in there - a toilet, fence posts, kitchen cupboards, bin bags etc - and no-one has asked!

What do you think?
Maybe I’m being an idiot
Dan Walker Instagram - Not sure what to say 😂😂

Good morning
Coming to a screen near you later this year.
Dan Walker Instagram - There is no truth in the rumour that Sir Keir Starmer asked me to be his Minister for Eggs.

I am at Downing Street to concentrate on @c5news 😂

See you at 5 on 5

This remains the picture that says it all for me and gets me every time I see it.

Rob became a shadow of his former self but those around him - like Sir Kevin Sinfield - helped to lift him up and showed us all what true friendship means ❤️

He is devastated that someone has stolen his leaf blower, batteries and tools from the park.
I’ve managed to calm him down but if anyone has any information or knows anything… he just wants them back so he can carry on looking after the memorial

Ok… it’s not the best football in history but let’s just enjoy the win.

Room for improvement but #England have found a way in every game and that’s all that matters

Dan Walker - 6.9K Likes - Back home from a lovely family holiday in Athens 🇬🇷

The sunset from Lycabettus Hill is well worth the walk up there The changing of the guard in Syntagma Square is fascinating and the National Gardens next door are gorgeous – especially wandering round with lunch from the famous Kostas’ souvlaki – 30 minute lunch queue but it’s mega The sea around the Greek Islands (we went to Agistri and Aegina) is as good as it gets It’s expensive… particularly ice-cream Loved the historical significance of standing in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul on Mars Hill The metro is great but buy your trips in bulk to save a bit of cash It’s always hot ☀️ Thank you Athens for a great break ❤️ #holiday #holidays #city #citybreak

Dan Walker - 4.9K Likes - An incredible night at @royalalberthall I got to dance for the first time in one of the most iconic venues in the world watched by my mum and my daughter.

Spent well over an hour retracing every step. Cleaned out the car, went around the garden with a torch… eventually found it… in the freezer 🤪🥶

Dan Walker - 4.5K Likes - I’m aware there are far more important things going on in the world but… are there accepted boundaries when it comes to other people’s skips?

My dad always taught us that, if you want to pop something in someone else’s skip, you wait a few days and then you go and ask if they have any space left and they mind.

We had one this week, right outside the house, while we had some work done. Everyday there has been loads of new stuff in there - a toilet, fence posts, kitchen cupboards, bin bags etc - and no-one has asked!

What do you think?
Maybe I’m being an idiot
