Ed Weeks Instagram - As we hurtle towards the 10 year anniversary of The Mindy Project what is there to write that hasn't already been written? Let's do it in slides.

1. Young bucks in between takes, my script in hand. In the early days I was always paranoid I didn't know my lines, and that I always needed a wee. Both would hugely frustrate @ikebarinholtz.

2. Ike's revenge.

3. Season 2 fatsuit. You had to step into it (you didn't, I did) through a posterior zip rather like a onesie. My trailer buddy Chris Messina was often called on for emergency unzips when I had drunk too much coffee.

4. Our queen, our benefactor, our creative genius, our cheerleader. And @mindykaling. Hahaha I did a comedy joke!

5. Rehearsing for the wedding dance in the finale. Choreographed brilliantly by @alison_faulk. I was so good at dancing that I was invited to extra rehearsals, just me, so my fantastic dancing could be further admired and studied. That was definitely why.

6. Over the seasons our family blossomed. The addition as series regulars of @bethgrantactor @xoshroq @adam.pally @fortunefeimster @rebeccarittenhouse and @garretdillahunt added exponential light and gloriousness. I was the luckiest pup to work alongside this cast, these writers, this crew—and 85% of them still return my calls.

7. Garret right before one of his relaxing hugs. Such soft arms!

8. "That body of yours is absurd."

9. Quite right.

Love to everybody who participated and watched (now, now). It truly was the best of times.

Ed Weeks Instagram - @cafetropical_la has long been my neighbourhood go-to for gorgeously satisfying sandwiches and the best coffee this side of Havana. My furry dining companion and I started with the CUBANO. Succulent roasted pork vied for saltiness with glossy ham. The pickle was long, juicy—almost tongue-like. Tangy mustard and impertinent cheese completed the ensemble, all encased in griddled panini simultaneously crispy and chewy.

At this point my dining companion wished to retire home to lick himself to sleep, but my mind was on dessert. The TRES LECHES is the finest in the city, and arrives liberally drenched in Chantilly cream, in addition to the two more mysterious milks (I think one of them is condensed). Slide 4 shows the burbling cream at the bottom of this masterpiece. A seasonal fruit compote provides welcome sourness.

All too fast, my hankering for dairy came roaring back. Salvation was found in Cafe Tropical's signature CAFE CON LECHE. Espresso strong enough to give you a good talking to, softened by a decidedly pillowy milk froth. Finally I agreed with my dining companion that it was, indeed, time for siesta, and the two of us enjoyed a reviving walk home, punctuated by three lovely wees in the grass (him not me).

Caption : As we hurtle towards the 10 year anniversary of The Mindy Project what is there to write that hasn’t already been written? Let’s do it in slides. 1. Young bucks in between takes, my script in hand. In the early days I was always paranoid I didn’t know my lines, and that I always needed a wee. Both would hugely frustrate @ikebarinholtz. 2. Ike’s revenge. 3. Season 2 fatsuit. You had to step into it (you didn’t, I did) through a posterior zip rather like a onesie. 8. “That body of yours is absurd.” 9. Quite right. Love to everybody who participated and watched (now, now). It truly was the best of times.

Ed Weeks - 1.1K Likes - @cafetropical_la has long been my neighbourhood go-to for gorgeously satisfying sandwiches and the best coffee this side of Havana.
