Eric Balfour Instagram - I took this shot last December in the house we rented on Maui. We all had crazy Covid and were in so much pain. It was our first trip to Hawaii since the pandemic. This island has the most special place in my heart and being sick the entire trip sucked beyond on belief. As sick as we were we took Oli to see the giant banyan tree in Lahaina the day before we left. The banyan is gone now along with so many business and homes. Hawaii's locals depend so much on the tourism places like Lahaina generate and our brothers and sisters there will need our help to rebuild from these devastating wildfires. Eric Balfour Instagram - Today is one of those days when there is a lot going on, a lot to manage, a lot to handle. Do you know what I mean? It's not that something really bad or tragic has happened, yeah there's some big stressors weighing on you and shit you have to handle but it's doable. For me I get really anxious in these moments running a clothing company, working on the show I'm developing, taking care of my family, and worrying about the entire world and our oceans and the safety of our children and all of it. I start to spiral a bit and and anxiety really ramps up, my heart beats really fast. I'm trying to remember to slow down, wait, consider, and not let the anxiety rush me. It's a challenge for me and I just thought I would share that for anyone else running their own business, worrying about the writers strike, or wanting to make sure their kids are safe and happy. It's a bullshit line because we may not know each other personally and I'm not necessarily saying this directly to you who is reading this but it doesn't hurt to hear it. Eric Balfour Instagram - Last week of school and I couldn't be more proud of what my Oliver Lion has learned this year... This morning Oli was very excited to show us what one of his friends at school taught him. Honestly we just had to laugh because he had no idea what it meant. He just knew he wasn't suppose to do it and that felt really fun. So here's what I've discovered about parenting, It's never going to be perfect. Your kids are going to present you with things you don't have the answers to, you're going to mess up and behave badly to your kids, and as hard as you try to be perfect, it never is. You just have to be ok with admitting when you're wrong, apologizing when you mess up, and try to remember they are just babies who are trying to figure this world out which is something I haven't been able to do and I've been around forty my years than my kids. What I try to do is not make a big deal out of it. Don't give the thing more power than it deserves, If you love your children and lead by example they will get it right when they are ready despite how many f bombs and middle fingers they throw at you along the way.

DEADLINE EXCLUSIVE: Former Haven star Eric Balfour has been tapped to play production designer Dean Tavoularis opposite Miles Teller and Matthew Goode in The Offer, Paramount ’s upcoming limited series about the making of The Godfather. The Offer is based on two-time Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy’s (Teller) experience of making the iconic 1972 film The Godfather that Francis Ford Coppola directed and adapted with Mario Puzo from Puzo’s bestselling novel. The movie starred Marlon Brando, Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton and Talia Shire; it was nominated for 11 Oscars and won three — including Best Picture for Ruddy. Balfour will play Dean Tavoularis, the production designer who created cinematic magic on a very limited budget. The 10-episode event series is written and executive produced by Nikki Toscano, who also showruns, and creator and Oscar- and Emmy-nominated writer Michael Tolkin (Escape at Dannemora, The Player). Teller and Ruddy also will serve as executive producers on the series, along with Leslie Greif (Hatfields & McCoys). Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) will direct the first block and executive produce. This morning Oli was very excited to show us what one of his friends at school taught him. Honestly we just had to laugh because he had no idea what it meant. He just knew he wasn't suppose to do it and that felt really fun. So here's what I've discovered about parenting, It's never going to be perfect. Your kids are going to present you with things you don't have the answers to, you're going to mess up and behave badly to your kids, and as hard as you try to be perfect, it never is. You just have to be ok with admitting when you're wrong, apologizing when you mess up, and try to remember they are just babies who are trying to figure this world out which is something I haven't been able to do and I've been around forty my years than my kids. What I try to do is not make a big deal out of it. Don't give the thing more power than it deserves, If you love your children and lead by example they will get it right when they are ready despite how many f bombs and middle fingers they throw at you along the way.

Your kids are going to present you with things you don’t have the answers to, you’re going to mess up and behave badly to your kids, and as hard as you try to be perfect, it never is. You just have to be ok with admitting when you’re wrong, apologizing when you mess up, and try to remember they are just babies who are trying to figure this world out which is something I haven’t been able to do and I’ve been around forty my years than my kids. What I try to do is not make a big deal out of it. Don’t give the thing more power than it deserves, If you love your children and lead by example they will get it right when they are ready despite how many f bombs and middle fingers they throw at you along the way.
