Jeff Garlin Instagram - Believe it or not, I have an emotionally difficult job. I’m not comparing my job to anyone else’s. I’m just saying that when I’m sad or overwhelmed, it doesn’t matter. My job is to ease people’s pain. It’s been a tough week on a lot of levels for me. That being said, Sunday night, 7pm pacific, I will be live on Instagram to hopefully bring you some joy. I’m honored to do it. I will be a big bowl of joyful. Hopefully I’ll see you there. I’m your Baloo.

My sons grew up his TV show and Pee Wee’s big adventure when they were young kids. To be able to share laughs with my kids is the work of someone very special. When I was in college, he was a guest on Late Night with Letterman. I called my dad to watch it with me. He saw Pee Wee and thought I was crazy to make him watch this. Very skeptical. Within a minute, he was crying with laughter. I’m crying as I write this. My success allows me to become friends with my heroes. He did not disappoint. Everyone loved Pee Wee. I’m heartbroken but he left behind a most wonderful legacy

Jeff Garlin Instagram - Another mental health announcement. Not too long ago before I was properly medicated I was suicidal. I went away for a month to the Lindner Center of HOPE in Cincinnati. Yes, I went to Cincinnati in the middle of winter to get help. They saved my life. It was dire. Since then I've gone from therapy seven times a week to three. I never thought I would be ecstatic with therapy three times a week. I am in recovery. All of this has paid off. I've put in the work. Meds alone aren't the answer. DBT, therapy, recovery, and meds are helping me stand tall. I never thought that I'd smile again. Now I'm smiling and doing comedy again. I'm so grateful that @curbyourenthusiasm starts filming in a couple of weeks. There is hope. Just ask. Please ask. Save your life. #everylittlethingisgonnabealright #artblakey

Jeff Garlin Instagram - So…. I was at a gig a few weeks ago. As I was leaving I fell down some stairs. I tore the quads in my right knee. I had surgery shortly after. I wear an immobilizer on my right leg to keep it straight. So , yes, I’m immobilized. I’m in my bed 90% of the day. But here’s thing, I’m good with it. Actually I’m grateful. The universe had given me signs to slow down. I didn’t listen. Now I’m not slowing, I’m stopped. Sure I’m looking forward to getting this thing that’s holding me down off. Then a good six months of physical therapy. It’s tough sure. Yet, as I write this I am feeling most content. So Happy Holidays, I know that mine will be. See you next year. It hit me right in the heart. I was lucky enough to sit next to him at a Dodgers game. It hit me right in my heart. When my father was dying I was desperate for something to heal my pain. He was at the Chicago Theater. I went to see him. He made me laugh. It hit me right in the heart. We all need comedians to ease our pain. When I was in college, he was a guest on Late Night with Letterman. I called my dad to watch it with me. He saw Pee Wee and thought I was crazy to make him watch this. Very skeptical. Within a minute, he was crying with laughter. I’m crying as I write this. My success allows me to become friends with my heroes. He did not disappoint. Everyone loved Pee Wee. I’m heartbroken but he left behind a most wonderful legacy

Likes : 3199Jeff Garlin - 3.2K Likes - So…. I was at a gig a few weeks ago. As I was leaving I fell down some stairs. I tore the quads in my right knee. I had surgery shortly after. I wear an immobilizer on my right leg to keep it straight. So , yes, I’m immobilized. I’m in my bed 90% of the day. But here’s thing, I’m good with it. Actually I’m grateful. The universe had given me signs to slow down. I didn’t listen. Now I’m not slowing, I’m stopped. Sure I’m looking forward to getting this thing that’s holding me down off. Then a good six months of physical therapy. It’s tough sure. Yet, as I write this I am feeling most content. So Happy Holidays, I know that mine will be. See you next year.
