Jordi Vilasuso Instagram - Ah friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we’re in right now. We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing. Last night, things unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and she was moved to NICU w/ what the doctors described as a partially collapsed right lung. I am still struggling to believe this as I type. Please please pray with us for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body. We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms.

Jordi Vilasuso Instagram - Got to hold my girl.. 🙏🏻💕 Jordi and I are so thankful for you all covering us in prayer and love, yet again. I know it sounds crazy, but we literally FEEL it and our family has gained so much strength from your encouragement. 🙏🏻 Our little Lucy is proving to be quite the little fighter. The biggest praise report is that the x-ray of her lungs looked significantly better than the one they took the night she was transferred to the NICU- PRAISE GOD 😭🙏🏻 (I’ll add to stories so you can see!) We still have a lot of big prayers to pray for her, though, and would be so so grateful if you join us in continuing to lift her up. She is still on the CPAP machine, but we are praying that as they try to wean her off of it, her pulse ox and respiratory rate stay strong and the CO2 in her blood continues to decrease. Once she is able to be weaned off of the CPAP, they’ll move her to regular oxygen w/o pressure and (providing vitals are good) will be able to remove the feeding tube. 🙏🏻 It is crazy how much I miss holding her and feeding her and being able to comfort her in that way, so we are praying big prayers that there aren’t any setbacks as her little body navigates these next steps, however long they may take. We are beyond grateful for the positive progress, but physically exhausted from the past week, emotionally exhausted for our girl and struggling to figure out the logistics of being there for Lucy, while still being there Riley and Evie, who are having a hard time, too. 😕 Praying for strength for whatever the rest of this journey to healing looks like. Thank you for loving us and for caring about our babies like you do. As always, we are forever grateful. 🙏🏻❤️

We are so so happy to have her home and healthy (Lord please help us keep her healthy 😩🙏🏻) and for us to be back together under one roof. I missed that so much. @childrensla - we are forever grateful for how well you took care of our girl. More on that when I’m a little less PTSDish, but forever grateful for the intelligence and compassion of each person who cared for her- especially her ICU nurses who are angels taking care of baby angels day in and day out. I have so much more to say about that, but for now, holding each and every child and family within those walls (and each and every person taking care of them) in our hearts. Thank you again, friends. Jordi Vilasuso Instagram - Happy one month (and happy due date!!!) to this little peanut !!!! 🎉🥳 Lucy had a GOOD day yesterday. And my goodness did we need a good day. 🙏🏻 Her doctors had turned down her CPAP (the pressure that she’s getting oxygen) from 6 to 5 on Sunday to try to start weaning and she really struggled. She was having desats throughout the day and coughing a lot and her respiratory rate kept spiking.. she was pulling her feeding tube out and they kept having to put it back in and it was just a really rough one. Then yesterday, for whatever reason, they decided to give her a chance to get off of the machine and see how she would do with the regular cannula and my goodness did she surprise us 🙌🏻😭 Her stats were better all day than they had been the day before and she was doing so well that they let her try bottle feeding. I attached the video of her tasting milk for the first time since she went to ICU and girlfriend loves eating as much as her mama. She tolerated the bottle feeds the rest of the day and they were able to remove the feeding tube last night.👏🏻 Providing things keep improving (🙏🏻), we’re going to try breast-feeding today and see how her stats look. She’s on an oxygen of two right now, so they’ll try to start lowering that as the day goes on and see how she does. I’m trying to manage my expectations because I get sooo excited whenever something positive happens and then it feels like I’ve been hit by a ton of bricks whenever there is a setback, BUT for the first time since we got here- it feels like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel 🙏🏻 Thank you, thank you thank you for lifting her up!!!! We humbly ask that you continue to pray for her healing and continued wisdom for her incredible team of doctors and nurses. And perhaps throw in a prayer for her tired and emo parents if you have an extra to spare.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 We ❤️ you!

She was having desats throughout the day and coughing a lot and her respiratory rate kept spiking.. she was pulling her feeding tube out and they kept having to put it back in and it was just a really rough one. Then yesterday, for whatever reason, they decided to give her a chance to get off of the machine and see how she would do with the regular cannula and my goodness did she surprise us 🙌🏻😭 Her stats were better all day than they had been the day before and she was doing so well that they let her try bottle feeding. I attached the video of her tasting milk for the first time since she went to ICU and girlfriend loves eating as much as her mama. She tolerated the bottle feeds the rest of the day and they were able to remove the feeding tube last night.👏🏻 Providing things keep improving (🙏🏻), we’re going to try breast-feeding today and see how her stats look. She’s on an oxygen of two right now, so they’ll try to start lowering that as the day goes on and see how she does. I’m trying to manage my expectations because I get sooo excited whenever something positive happens and then it feels like I’ve been hit by a ton of bricks whenever there is a setback, BUT for the first time since we got here- it feels like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel 🙏🏻 Thank you, thank you thank you for lifting her up!!!! We humbly ask that you continue to pray for her healing and continued wisdom for her incredible team of doctors and nurses. And perhaps throw in a prayer for her tired and emo parents if you have an extra to spare.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 We ❤️ you!

We’ve, unfortunately, experienced another loss 😔💔 We’ve struggled with whether or not to share because this is just hard, but we know that so many suffer in silence and we want so badly for that to change. 🙏🏻We pray that in sharing our journey- the lessons we’ve learned between our first and second miscarriage and the perspective we’ve gained- the two little lives that didn’t come to be will be filled with purpose and will perhaps even bring some healing to someone else’s pain. 💔 We share our story today on @makingitwork and hope you’ll join us as we try to shed a light on this really tough topic. Jordi Vilasuso Instagram - Grateful for your prayers for our growing family, my friends ! Also, I know this was not easy to put out there my love, but your openness and call for prayer inspire me and I know will do the same for others! With faith and love! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Sweet friends! We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request. We are beyond excited to share that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January! After two losses, this precious girl (💕) is an answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But, while she is growing perfectly, we learned last week that my body is struggling to hold her and she’s at risk of coming far too early.  After many visits with some incredible doctors, we’ve made the decision to undergo a procedure called a cerclage in hopes that it will help keep her safe in my belly. There are risks to the procedure, but we are standing in faith that God did not bring us this far -with Riley and Everly feeling her move in my belly night after night- or bring her this far (20 weeks!) for her to not breathe the breath of life and have a long, beautiful one at that.  While we didn’t expect to share the news like this, you all have covered our family in love and prayer many times before and we are humbly asking that you do it again. I’m scheduled for surgery Wednesday evening and we are praying she stays snug in my belly until then, that our doctors are not met with anything unexpected, and that their God-given skill leads to a successful surgery- specifically that my water does not break during the procedure and that the procedure itself doesn’t put me into labor. We are praying for many many more boring weeks of me mostly laying in bed while this baby girl grows stronger and more ready for this world.  I know that God knows the desires of our hearts. I know He is knitting her together in my womb, that she is already fearfully and wonderfully made, that He has a plan for her life. I ask that you’ll join us in praying that that plan is on this side of heaven. 🙏🏻 We will keep you posted. Thank you for your love always.

But I’m not seeing the heartbeat.. ohh... wait, there’s a flicker.. oh there’s another flicker.. yeah, no.. that’s not enough.. ‘ 💔💔💔⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ That’s not enough. My baby. Our baby. The baby my girls had crossed their fingers for at lunch a few weeks ago, completely unaware that just a few days before I had visited my doctor for what I thought was a precautionary cervix check and a chance to see the heartbeat of our third little one. But instead I was given the ‘50/50’ odds that my dates were ‘off’ and everything was fine OR that it was an ‘abnormal pregnancy that would eventually end in miscarriage.’ Four long, emotionally and physically painful weeks later, I clearly got the latter. ⁣⁣ And I never anticipated that it would hurt this much. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I know that miscarriage has a stigma surrounding it in a sense, with so many women who have experienced it being hesitant to talk about it. And now, being one of those ‘one in four women’ that I never thought I’d be.. I understand it even more. It’s a different kind of hurt than I’ve ever experienced. It is so personal. It - and the little heartbeat that was lost- almost feels too precious and sacred to be talked about. Just for starters. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I was hoping (even when things went super south) that I was documenting what would be a ‘success story.’ That ‘it was a hard road but we kept the faith and it all worked out and here’s a cute maternity picture of the girls holding my belly to announce their new little baby brother or sister!’ (I’m aware that’s not a proper sentence but definitely accurate in terms of how my mind is processing things these days. 🙈) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Instead- I’m here trying to figure out what this story is. And what the point of sharing it is because it just seems.. sad. But I know that God doesn’t work like that.. I know that there is absolute purpose in every season.. that (cont’d in comments)

Jordi Vilasuso Instagram - Happy birthday (yesterday! 🎉) and happy Father’s Day to the BEST husband and the BEST daddy these 3 (😭🙏🏻) girls and I could have ever asked for. @jordivilasuso - thank you for making us feel seen and safe and cherished day in and day out, for making our happiness your number one priority, and for loving us so so well. We walked through so many unknowns together this past year and you lead us with strength and an unwavering faith every step of the way. From the 30 doctors appointments that you held my shaky hands, the afternoons spent on the couch praying over my belly when the contractions wouldn’t stop and the fear of losing our girl was crippling, the long walk down the corridor together when she was being transferred to the NICU, the tiny hospital bed we shared with the sounds of the monitors beeping in the background while we prayed for her healing. So many terrifying moments that you were truly my strength when I was feeling so weak, never failing to point me to Him who is our ultimate strength. There were also so many joys! Finally meeting our sweet Lucy, watching our Riley and Everly thrive in school and sports and seeing their faith grow exponentially, watching them fall head over heels for their baby sister. I am the luckiest to share in the ups and downs with you as we do life together. 🙏🏻 I pray this year brings you all the desires of your heart and that you feel as loved and appreciated as you are today and every day to come. The biggest praise report is that the x-ray of her lungs looked significantly better than the one they took the night she was transferred to the NICU- PRAISE GOD 😭🙏🏻 (I’ll add to stories so you can see!) We still have a lot of big prayers to pray for her, though, and would be so so grateful if you join us in continuing to lift her up. She is still on the CPAP machine, but we are praying that as they try to wean her off of it, her pulse ox and respiratory rate stay strong and the CO2 in her blood continues to decrease. Once she is able to be weaned off of the CPAP, they’ll move her to regular oxygen w/o pressure and (providing vitals are good) will be able to remove the feeding tube. 🙏🏻 It is crazy how much I miss holding her and feeding her and being able to comfort her in that way, so we are praying big prayers that there aren’t any setbacks as her little body navigates these next steps, however long they may take. We are beyond grateful for the positive progress, but physically exhausted from the past week, emotionally exhausted for our girl and struggling to figure out the logistics of being there for Lucy, while still being there Riley and Evie, who are having a hard time, too. 😕 Praying for strength for whatever the rest of this journey to healing looks like. Then yesterday, for whatever reason, they decided to give her a chance to get off of the machine and see how she would do with the regular cannula and my goodness did she surprise us 🙌🏻😭 Her stats were better all day than they had been the day before and she was doing so well that they let her try bottle feeding. I attached the video of her tasting milk for the first time since she went to ICU and girlfriend loves eating as much as her mama. She tolerated the bottle feeds the rest of the day and they were able to remove the feeding tube last night.👏🏻 Providing things keep improving (🙏🏻), we’re going to try breast-feeding today and see how her stats look. She’s on an oxygen of two right now, so they’ll try to start lowering that as the day goes on and see how she does. We come to you with big, exciting news and perhaps an even bigger prayer request. We are beyond excited to share that we are expecting a precious addition to our family in January! After two losses, this precious girl (💕) is an answer to our prayers and has already filled our hearts with so much hope and joy. But, while she is growing perfectly, we learned last week that my body is struggling to hold her and she’s at risk of coming far too early.  After many visits with some incredible doctors, we’ve made the decision to undergo a procedure called a cerclage in hopes that it will help keep her safe in my belly. There are risks to the procedure, but we are standing in faith that God did not bring us this far -with Riley and Everly feeling her move in my belly night after night- or bring her this far (20 weeks!) for her to not breathe the breath of life and have a long, beautiful one at that.  While we didn’t expect to share the news like this, you all have covered our family in love and prayer many times before and we are humbly asking that you do it again. I’m scheduled for surgery Wednesday evening and we are praying she stays snug in my belly until then, that our doctors are not met with anything unexpected, and that their God-given skill leads to a successful surgery- specifically that my water does not break during the procedure and that the procedure itself doesn’t put me into labor. We are praying for many many more boring weeks of me mostly laying in bed while this baby girl grows stronger and more ready for this world.  I know that God knows the desires of our hearts. I know He is knitting her together in my womb, that she is already fearfully and wonderfully made, that He has a plan for her life. I ask that you’ll join us in praying that that plan is on this side of heaven. 🙏🏻 We will keep you posted. Thank you for your love always.

But I’m not seeing the heartbeat.. ohh... wait, there’s a flicker.. oh there’s another flicker.. yeah, no.. that’s not enough.. ‘ 💔💔💔⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ That’s not enough. My baby. Our baby. The baby my girls had crossed their fingers for at lunch a few weeks ago, completely unaware that just a few days before I had visited my doctor for what I thought was a precautionary cervix check and a chance to see the heartbeat of our third little one. But instead I was given the ‘50/50’ odds that my dates were ‘off’ and everything was fine OR that it was an ‘abnormal pregnancy that would eventually end in miscarriage.’ Four long, emotionally and physically painful weeks later, I clearly got the latter. ⁣⁣ And I never anticipated that it would hurt this much. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I know that miscarriage has a stigma surrounding it in a sense, with so many women who have experienced it being hesitant to talk about it. And now, being one of those ‘one in four women’ that I never thought I’d be.. I understand it even more. It’s a different kind of hurt than I’ve ever experienced. It is so personal. It - and the little heartbeat that was lost- almost feels too precious and sacred to be talked about. Just for starters. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I was hoping (even when things went super south) that I was documenting what would be a ‘success story.’ That ‘it was a hard road but we kept the faith and it all worked out and here’s a cute maternity picture of the girls holding my belly to announce their new little baby brother or sister!’ (I’m aware that’s not a proper sentence but definitely accurate in terms of how my mind is processing things these days. 🙈) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Instead- I’m here trying to figure out what this story is. We walked through so many unknowns together this past year and you lead us with strength and an unwavering faith every step of the way. From the 30 doctors appointments that you held my shaky hands, the afternoons spent on the couch praying over my belly when the contractions wouldn’t stop and the fear of losing our girl was crippling, the long walk down the corridor together when she was being transferred to the NICU, the tiny hospital bed we shared with the sounds of the monitors beeping in the background while we prayed for her healing. So many terrifying moments that you were truly my strength when I was feeling so weak, never failing to point me to Him who is our ultimate strength. There were also so many joys! Finally meeting our sweet Lucy, watching our Riley and Everly thrive in school and sports and seeing their faith grow exponentially, watching them fall head over heels for their baby sister.
