Kraig Adams Instagram - All alone exploring the volcano on Corvo Island in the Azores of Portugal in the Atlantic. Took a 7 minute flight to the island and paid a taxi to drive me as high as the road went. Walked around the rim for a while all alone and eventually hiked back down to town in the rain. Kraig Adams Instagram - @henrygolding reached out to me on Instagram messages saying he’d be down to join on a hike so I invited him to summit Half Dome in Yosemite. We stayed in the valley at camp 4 and prepared supplies for the overnight hike. Starting at Glacier Point, we had a great view of what was to come. With matching Hyperlite packs, we made our way up the Mist trail to a lunch spot and quick dip in the river before continuing up to the cables. Henry is hilarious and always cracking jokes, especially when he finally saw what we’d be climbing up. We made sure to bring gloves to help with this section and because it was almost sunset, we had the entire place to ourselves. The view at the top overlooking the valley was amazing. We hiked back down to our campsite as night fell. Henry was excited to try out his Hancho Pancho. The next morning we enjoyed some coffee as the light rose before hiking all the way back down to the valley below. Hiking is a great way to get to know someone and Henry made it a fun trip, thanks for coming along dude.

Always fighting the urge to ditch more and more gear to do these trails faster. Not having to stop to set up tripod shots might be a nice change from time to time. The Pico to Pico hike is one of the best day hikes I’ve ever done and is enough of a reason for anyone to visit. As always, my favorite moments were small, quiet ones far away from the busy cities. Meeting local cats, parking and droning massive cliffs, enjoying the sea breeze and drinking lots of espressos. I didn’t know Madeira existed a few months ago and now I’m grateful to have explored it. Hope you visit as well. #visitmadeira

The Pico to Pico hike is one of the best day hikes I’ve ever done and is enough of a reason for anyone to visit. As always, my favorite moments were small, quiet ones far away from the busy cities. Meeting local cats, parking and droning massive cliffs, enjoying the sea breeze and drinking lots of espressos. I didn’t know Madeira existed a few months ago and now I’m grateful to have explored it. Hope you visit as well. #visitmadeira

Henry is hilarious and always cracking jokes, especially when he finally saw what we’d be climbing up. We made sure to bring gloves to help with this section and because it was almost sunset, we had the entire place to ourselves. The view at the top overlooking the valley was amazing. We hiked back down to our campsite as night fell. Henry was excited to try out his Hancho Pancho. The next morning we enjoyed some coffee as the light rose before hiking all the way back down to the valley below. Hiking is a great way to get to know someone and Henry made it a fun trip, thanks for coming along dude.
