Caption : I’m good at sprints… but that jogging thing… I don’t like it. Whatever it takes to keep up that work capacity! I vowed I would not return to the sport in the shape I was in during the previous Rogue Invitational, and I’ll uphold myself to it. Lately, my body has been powerful and strong, but pushing work-capacity through weights wears on my joints too much to rely on that for high-rep events. So plan is… crisp and efficient strength training, followed by extracurricular endurance-training. I’ve been doing Jiu Jitsu, which has been awesome! Caption : What do you guys think? Can you do this? FINALLY, we made it to the mountains of Pakistan where in the KPK region we found the most remarkable stone lifting style ever seen! Here, @jawadahmedchamp cleans and squats a 150kg (330lb) stone with ease. During the clean, the stone is not allowed to touch the body. Only in the catch, during the receiving stage of the lift, can the stone rest on the chest. Caption : No place like California for me. Absolutely love living here! Even more so, I’m loving how my body is feeling. I’m currently lifting 4x a week and hitting Jiu Jitsu 3x a week. My aim with lifting is speed and technique with no pain (a slow and steady approach)… and then using JJ to keep my conditioning and work capacity progressing. Caption : This is the best job I’ve ever had. There’s no doubt of that. Despite that, some days I dont want to clock in, but the march goes on anyways. The last show, @arnoldssports strongman classic definitely rocked me… and getting my headspace to be that of a warrior again is proving a worthy challenge. Yet, I will find that spark again to turn job into passion. It is my mission. – In the meantime, I’m increasing my frequency of physical therapy and working variants of motions that don’t aggravate this nasty sciatica, and breaking through fear to find my inner monster. —- This workout was a bit of an adjustment from my original plan, as I have to find what works for my body. First, I did mechanical dropsets with front squats and back squats down onto a box height where sciatica felt good. After that, partial range split squats, Conan’s wheel holds for time, various isolation accessories and finally some light sandbag carries for 30sec max distance/ 30sec rests for 10minutes.Likes : 6062
