Max George Instagram - Open Letter to The Mail Online Users: The first picture is my great-grandfather. The second picture is my Nana Mary.

Recently, the Daily Mail published an article where apparently people expressed ‘concern’ about my ‘safety’ due to the colour of my skin whilst on holiday. This was followed by nearly 700 comments, most of which were blatant and derogatory phrases or ‘jokes’ about my skin.

I’m baffled that these comments have been allowed to remain on The Daily Mail, without being addressed, monitored or deleted. Regardless of their knowledge (or lack of in this case), this behaviour isn’t acceptable. Also, the ‘comments page’ on there is literally a hub for some of the most outrageous shit I’ve ever seen written. Not just about me, but most articles that are on there. They shouldn’t have one.

To those who have an issue with the colour of my skin or anyone else’s: Racism has no place in our society. My great grandfather and my Nana, are of black heritage. If people cared to research or ask the question, they would know myself and my family are of African ethnicity. It’s something I’m extremely proud to be… And hopefully that clears up why I’m so shockingly ‘DARK’. Now, I’ll go and enjoy some more sun. Cheers 👍🏻😎

Max George Instagram - Sleep well beautiful girl. Thank you for 2 years of wonderful memories and 18 years of joy with my Mais and her gorgeous family. 🖤🐾
Max George Instagram - 10 years ago this week.. I landed my first major role in a TV series .. ‘Clint’ in ‘GLEE’, one of the greatest things I’ve ever done in my career. This came just months after The Wanteds ‘last’ world tour which was all a bit of a blur as I drank to forget that it was coming to the end. (Never say never). Then to have the opportunity to work for a whole year with the likes of @janelynchofficial and @matthewmorrison was an experience I’ll never forget. Acting (and yes, dancing) with the best in the business was physically and mentally battering… in the best way imaginable. Can’t wait to see what the next 10 has to offer….🤘🏻💪🏻 PS.. Thank you to @rj.ulrich and @ryanmurphyproductions for believing in me.

Caption : Open Letter to The Mail Online Users: The first picture is my great-grandfather. Cheers 👍🏻😎

Max George - 15.9K Likes - 10 years ago this week..
