Noah Reid Instagram - RIP The Best. ❤️ When we were on tour with the Schitt’s Creek live show, our tour manager extraordinaire, Dave Ockun, would give us a “two minutes to Tina” call. Two minutes later, those low piano shots would kick in like an electric shock and the crowd would start buzzing, knowing the show was about to begin. Incredible thing that music does, takes you somewhere else with only two notes, totally transported, anticipating that iconic first chorus. I’ve played that song so many times now, and I never would have thought it would be the one to open up the door. But damn, Tina, no one did it like you.
Noah Reid Instagram - And if you love creeks as much as I do...

Noah Reid Instagram - Today, on the anniversary of the last night of the first time out, I’ve been goin down memory lane and looking at some of the great shots my buddy @jake.sherman took in Chicago. Seems like a lifetime ago and also yesterday. I haven’t shared many of these photos because when the whole thing ground to a halt, it seemed like there was nowhere for them to go. But today, to me anyway, they serve as a reminder of what our lives used to look like, of the importance of music and art and how those things drive connection, and of the incredible energy of a room full of people going out for the night to enjoy themselves. Feels important not to forget these things we never thought we’d lose as we fight to get them back. This long winded caption is probably just a way to rationalize posting a bunch of photos of myself doing something I love and miss dearly, but I’m feelin it today so fuck it. What a privilege and a joy it was playing these shows with @barbermattic @adriangordoncook and @matthewbaileymusic (all of whom I’ve been in the studio with since, making new music) and of course the Mack Truck @mack_long_music drivin the bus in so many ways. And to my team, Sean and Cortney at @baselinemusic and Rob @paquinartists for putting the First Time Out Tour together, thank you, I’ll never forget it. Can’t wait to play songs in front of people again soon, I do hope you’ll come, I promise to make you sing. ❤️

Noah Reid Instagram - Thanks to everyone who’s been listening to Everyday and watching the Outer Range trailer and buying tickets to The Minutes. Very grateful for all of your love and support. In return, I offer you this photo you’ve probably already seen, taken after a couple of day pints at Ronnie’s by the great @dane.does.portraits, who happened to write one of my favourite movies, Old Stock. Can’t take these moments for granted nowadays.

Noah Reid Instagram - Lost a true Canadian Legend today. Incredibly grateful that I got to see this man on stage, to shake his hand, and to witness his poise, charisma and charm at work. All class, and made it look easy and fun. Rest In Peace Mr. Plummer, way to wear that Order of Canada pin to the Oscars ❤️🍁🏆
Noah Reid Instagram - Now here I go again, I see the crystal vision. I keep my visions to myself. It’s only me who wants to wrap around your dreams, and have you any dreams you’d like to sell? Dreams of loneliness, like a heartbeat drives you mad, in the stillness of remembering what you had. And what you lost. What you had and what you lost.
Noah Reid Instagram - Easiest way to support frontline workers? Take part in the #conquerCOVID19 #boringtshirtchallenge and grab one of these boring as **** tees (why not grab a boring ass hat too?!) where every cent goes to buying PPE (personal protective equipment) for our frontline workers! Go to www.conquercovid19.ca to join me and my closest friends @vancityreynolds and @hchickwick in making a difference for the people who are keeping us all going through this bizarre time!
Noah Reid Instagram - What a piece of work is a man. Playing Hamlet at the @tarragontheatreto in 2018, taken by my dear friend @theo.skudra. The theatre has always been a big part of my root system, and I’ve missed it in this time. In some ways I guess it’s nice to have a reminder that there’s no substitute for communal experience. When I was a kid, my family would go see shows in Toronto at the Tarragon or Factory or Canstage or SoulPepper, Mirvish or Stratford or the Dream in High Park, and I fell in love with the feeling of the lights going down, knowing I was entering some kind of sacred bubble, that I was going to be led through a maze, not knowing where it was going, hearing the audience laugh or gasp, measuring my own reaction against it, learning to watch the whole action, not just whoever was speaking, watching it unfold both alone and as a congregation. Then on the drive home, talking about it, analyzing it, dissecting it, developing a sense of critical thought, what worked, what didn’t work. Imagining myself in a part, how would I do it? How would it feel? Performing Hamlet was a huge challenge and a lifetime goal for me, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have spent that time in his tormented shoes. Richard Rose directed this production as a rock concert, with a band of actor/musicians creating a live score throughout the piece. We spoke into handheld mics, which became a way to tell the story with an intimacy and intensity we don’t often get with Shakespeare. It felt to me like we had a direct line to the audience; none of this lofty singsongy find the back row stuff, this was like a whisper inside your own head or a scream you could feel in your whole body. Many people told me they heard and felt the story clearly for the first time. Others told me it wasn’t for them. I think this is the beauty of the theatre. Hundreds of people in the same room watching the same thing and experiencing it completely differently. Whatever the range of that experience, there is an unmistakable togetherness to it. That’s the magic. I miss it, and I can’t wait to get back to it.

Noah Reid - 43.6K Likes - Today, on the anniversary of the last night of the first time out, I’ve been goin down memory lane and looking at some of the great shots my buddy @jake.sherman took in Chicago. ❤️

Noah Reid - 43.1K Likes - Thanks to everyone who’s been listening to Everyday and watching the Outer Range trailer and buying tickets to The Minutes.

All class, and made it look easy and fun. Rest In Peace Mr. Plummer, way to wear that Order of Canada pin to the Oscars ❤️🍁🏆

Dreams of loneliness, like a heartbeat drives you mad, in the stillness of remembering what you had. And what you lost. What you had and what you lost.
