Shandi Finnessey Instagram - Date night with the hubs. Weā€™ve only been together for 11 years, married for 9ā€¦ but weā€™ve done SO MUCH in that amount of time! Weā€™ve moved 3 times, bought 2 homes (one of which moved us across the country), had 3 babies, bought 10,000 fur babies (ok, not quite but it seems like it at times!), learned to become farmers (sorta) and a half dozen other things. So when he plans a night out at the opera for us, itā€™s more than just a ā€œdate night.ā€ Itā€™s a reminder that despite all the craziness in our lives, at the end of the day, we still choose each other. (And when we get into a fit of giggles during a serious part in the opera, itā€™s a reminder than we never laugh as hard as we do when we are together) ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
Shandi Finnessey Instagram - My sweet boys. šŸ’• Being a boy mom means I usually have a few bruises somewhere on my body that I donā€™t know how I got, I can find a baseball glove or a soccer ball somewhere in the house in under 3 minutes, I always have an assortment of snacks within arms reach and Iā€™m never without someone wanting cuddles or kisses at any time of day or night. Our days are full of action and super heroes, and our hearts are full of love. This afternoon we invited Finnā€™s 1st grade class over for a Back to School party so we could meet the kids he spends every week day with and their parents. The kids were all adorable and LOVED meeting our pasture pets. šŸ’– After everyone left, our family had pizza in our pavilion for dinner and I was listening to Finn and Bodhi have the sweetest conversation. Finn : Bodhiā€¦ who do you have a crush on? Jovie?? Bodhi : Huh? No. My biggest crush is Mommy. šŸ„°šŸ„°šŸ„° I love being a boy mom. I get to have FOUR guys in my life that think Iā€™m just the bees knees. āœØ

Itā€™s this time of year where between the 26th and the 31st, itā€™s all one big blur and then suddenly itā€™s the last day of the year and you really double down on the cheese and wine but only because you made lots of New Yearā€™s resolutions about cutting back on cheese and wine so you have you last big push to make it to the next year. To celebrate the end, we gathered with our small group from church for a giant FEAST! And delicious WINE!! And let me tell youā€¦ it was GLORIOUS! But, there was a moment when we wondered if we would even be able to get out of our driveway, due to all the snow and ice still lingering. Thanks to Benā€™s giant truck and staying off of our driveway, WE MADE IT! šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Caption : A little peek into a very special time together with incredible friends for spring break. We are so blessed to have made such deep friendships here in Tennessee! We spent a week with 2 other wonderful families in Florida and couldnā€™t have had a more magical time! And, of course, the sweet little Miss Buttercup pageant, which I had the honor of judging this year. šŸŒ¼ So blessed to call this place ā€œhome.ā€ šŸ„°
