Sanjeeta Bhattacharya Instagram – Kolkata- a city that breathes, weaving memories from forever ago. The summers we used to visit were warm, air damp with the anticipation of rain. I have vivid memories of dadu and baba in their lungis, sitting on the red oxide floor of the house my father grew up in. Namma wrapped in her white sari. She was so tiny, it looked like the sari was wearing her. Hair tied into a bun with a wet gamcha, making tea. Jethu in his heavy framed choshma, always ready with a pot full of warm roshogollas for us. It feels like a different lifetime. Dadu, namma, jethu…all left before I was old enough to get to know them at all.
