Caption : (Read the full caption…) Ahhhh @campeddle our very own editing legend is leaving the nest. Cam joined @YesTheory 3 years ago thinking he’d be in the U.S for 1 year… 3 years later it’s time for him to move back home to Australia and reconnect with his family and loved ones. But he’s not leaving @YesTheory ! 2 months ago when this first came up it was obviously first very sad news. But as I paused and remembered my main learning lesson from covid: how can this current issue be transformed into an opportunity for something new rather than a problem? We sat down with Cam and decided to examine something we’d never ever considered before: what if working together from a distance would be possible? Both Cam and I got AMPED by the possibility. 2 days later he came back to me with a full plan for remote editing that we tested and improved over the past few months with trials of working from home… Bingo. It worked. Cam is now going to be opening Yes Theory’s office in Australia and we already have several other hires from Australia we are interviewing. Welcome to Chapter 1 of Yes Theory’s global expansion ❤️🙏🔥Likes : 51830

Caption : This year I learned that in the journey of pursuing your dreams as an artist or builder, life will really challenge you. And in a way ask you: “Is this truly what you want to do? Do you still have more within you to keep going?” Some artists will decide to stop when that adversity arrives feeling too overtaken by the pressure. And honestly that’s totally fine. I think many expect our lives and lives of many artists to be a constant adventure, thrill and filled with life changing experiences but the reality is that to get to do all of those things it’s a 24/7 job. It requires an extreme amount of dedication and constant stream of creative energy which really only fits a certain type of person. Ultimately, I believe that what will determine an artist’s legacy is how much of that inevitable struggle they were able to endure, how much of the uncertainty they were able to tolerate and at what depth and true creative integrity were they able sustain. At the start of 2021 I asked myself how much I still had in me and the answer felt honestly blurry. The process itself had burnt me out and I wasn’t sure anymore. But bit by bit through the stories in these photos above, I reconnected with that burning fire and love for story-telling within me. I’ve had to be patient as I haven’t been able to fully tap into all of it yet but the moral of the story for me is that I end this year feeling like I have a whole renewed desire to create more. To search for more unique humans I want to elevate through stories, capture more of the world’s most unique places and challenge my own beliefs through these. And honestly, I’m really proud of myself for all of that and for what I created this year. Even if it didn’t all go perfectly this year, I feel closure and joy as I know that I really gave it my all. Thank you for making me feel like my work has purpose which feeds me so much of that inspiration. It’s not about number of viewers it’s about depth of connection, and whenever I’m lucky enough to achieve both I’m in heaven. Time to recharge now offline for a few weeks and come back with those stories I know I have within me, see you in 2022✌️Likes : 41450

Caption : Happy 28th to my ultimate Habibi @ammar 7 years in still going strong!! 🤩 There’s a completely new chapter starting for all of us at the moment I can’t wait for everyone to hear and be a part of it. Embracing change and evolution is very much the key 🔑 to nurturing any creative and artistic endeavor. It takes discomfort (..😉) as we challenge ourselves and open a new page to a new chapter… with new characters, new setting and a new story. Here’s to 7 more years, a new season and a lifetime of growth. May the next chapter begin. 📖Likes : 39508

Caption : Yesterday as I was with some of my favorite people in the world a dream of mine came to life. After 5 years of transformation and using @Headspace nearly every single day. @YesTheory has launched its own meditation collection on the app about Seeking Discomfort. When I recorded the journaling reflection prompts a few weeks ago in same booth all of their meditations I’ve been listening to for 5 years were recorded in.. I was swarmed by emotion (in clip 2). So much gratitude, so many lessons and so many hard times that meditation helped me through. And now I get to pass this forward??? I can’t believe this! There is no habit that has changed my life in more significant ways than meditation and @Headspace made that possible for me. This isn’t a sponsored post I am saying this myself! It would mean the world to me if you checked out our collection with them. If you are here, reading this, if you know me or have ever resonated with our message. This collection will strongly resonate with you I am sure of it. 60 days for free in my bio using code SEEKDISCOMFORT60 ❤️✨🫶 happy introspection 🙌Likes : 35589

Caption : Starting 2022 with some much needed reflection. Time has felt so distorted for me these past few years with covid that taking a moment to breathe, check-in with myself and look into the future with more intention felt so necessary. I have a lot more thinking and planning left to do for this year but I’ve been feeling so much more thick-skinned and confident in my own abilities to deal with whatever comes ahead after these years of constant uncertainty. Looking forward to exploring new stories from around the world this year and taking you along with me. How are you all feeling about this upcoming year? Photo: @ammarLikes : 34857

Caption : Growing up, football players were the DEFINITION of unreachable, even more than movie stars. We’d play at recess at school, then of course FIFA at home where we’d pass the ball to the fastest players and make a run for it. Fast forward 15 years and somehow I got to play with and against several childhood heroes while raising funds for education.. Kaka, Hazard, Roberto Carlos, Drogba, Villa, Makelele, Tim Cahill, Arsene Wenger, Antonio Conte… Doesn’t make any sense. To be honest I hadn’t ran on a pitch in 10 years and feeling my rusty 30-year-old legs motivated me a TON to get back into better cardio. (Don’t tell anyone I got nutmegged to then concede a goal pls). My favorite part however was the small interactions: getting a 5min sports massage before the game next to Drogba then jumping in his arms once he scored 😅 talking in the hallway with Eden Hazard, or trying to convince Antonio Conte to let me back on the pitch.. Once in a blue moon we get these seemingly impossible to open doors flung open, and this was a wild one. Grateful for the experience and for the millions of dollars raised 🙏Likes : 34454

We’d play at recess at school, then of course FIFA at home where we’d pass the ball to the fastest players and make a run for it. Caption : Official welcome to the Yes World @StaffanTaylor 💙 4 years ago I met Staffan on the street. Searching for a Swede to swap lives with an American from Texas for 72 hours. He was the first stranger I spoke to, and said yes within 5 minutes… Motivational speaker, youth entrepreneurship bootcamp founder and overall rockstar human. We stayed friends throughout the years but in 2022 we linked over and over all around the world. It was like the Universe wanted us to spend more time together. Things just aligned, we laughed, danced and created together. The feeling of just wanting to continue doing this together kept coming back… Ultimately one of my main goals with Yes Theory on a personal level is to build memories with people I love. So to now have an extra travel partner I connect with so deeply has given a new life to our recent travels. We’re going to create lots of incredible things together my friend, and we already have! Can’t wait for more 🚀☀️🫶💙Likes : 34378

Caption : When I boil down what I seek to achieve through our stories it really is as simple as evoking empathy. I feel that the gift I’ve been given on this earth being born in one country but originating from another, is to quickly learn, observe and adapt myself to any environment. Having grown up in an international school from the age of 4-18 with 14 languages represented and many more nationalities, it feels like I’d been incubating my curiosity and ability to understand others for a long time. I also know that I am born with an immense amount of privilege. From where I was born and the passport I hold, to my gender and skin color. Having experienced some of that first hand many times with my Habibi @ammar .. And so while fully acknowledging that, I hope to serve as a bridge. A bridge through stories to fill the gap in places where people don’t seem to understand each other or have judgements towards those who are different, resulting in tension and anger. I feel grateful for the opportunity to do what I do every day and feel more confident in my ability to do so than ever before. I can’t always explain how I got here but I’ve stopped questioning “why me?” so often and instead leaned into the opportunity I’ve been gifted and aim to double my impact. Thank you for allowing my stories to be heard. Many more to come ✌️ 📸 by the always amazing @cory.s.martinLikes : 27817

Caption : Well… We are finally doing this. After 8 years of growing, learning and experimenting on YouTube. 8 million subscribers later, 1 billion long-form views, a feature length documentary in theaters and in my opinion the most impactful community on YouTube… 🚀 We are launching our very first story-telling bootcamp 🍿 This isn’t a regular pre-recorded course giving you a step-by-step process to “success”. This is 6 weeks, twice a week, of live learning from myself, @ammar @campeddle @thomasdajer and other members of the @yestheory team letting you into our process like we’ve literally never done before. I think the best part will be the community and collaboration that will flourish with all the other aspiring creators who join the experience thanks to the @Creator.Now platform. Watch parties together. Accountability. The list goes on. On top of that, those who join our course will get 1 year of @Creator.Now for free to learn from other creators and stay connected to the the community. Telling impactful stories requires intention. It requires a way of looking at the world and at the work that I haven’t seen anyone teach this way for YouTube before. 🌍 Spots are available RIGHT NOW. Kick-Off Live Session is on April 9th, first live session April 11th. If you are at any point of your storytelling journey, searching for community or seeking to learn from us directly. This is the place. Now is the time. Link in my bio. 🍿📽️🎬 📸 by @alexinhofficialLikes : 26610

Caption : I want to be real for a moment… Traveling and telling stories was my childhood dream. Never did I ever imagine it would actually become my profession however. But here I am! The reality is better and more rich of an experience than I could’ve ever imagined, but it’s also incredibly demanding and taxing. Many late nights planning, editing, writing and recording VO’s in the strangest of places… Not to mention difficult travel conditions. As you can see in these images, often taken at 2-3am while trying to keep up with all the work, I look terribly exhausted… It really takes a toll on my mind and body. I come home feeling emotionally drained from the amount of socializing, overwhelmed by my personal life being in standstill whenever I leave and a mountain of messages to answer with people thinking I’m ignoring them. I’m not going to pretend like I hit the nail on the head every single time, HOWEVER, I feel incredibly proud of the diverse recent streak of travel stories we created from all over the world. I really felt that we created work that fully embodies the level that I am at as a filmmaker. Although I know I have lots of improvements and ways I will continue to grow, I am super proud of this moment. I feel very well surrounded by my immensely talented team of editors/creators @thomasdajer @campeddle @jaxullivan @tristankevitch and my friends joining me @cory.s.martin @erictabach and local friends around the world who enabled these experiences. Then of course, my Habibi @ammar and life partner on this journey always supporting me wherever I chose to go 💙 At this point, I really feel that we are producing some of the most honest and moving work on YouTube. Giving ourselves that compliment is not something I’d easily do but I do really believe that and I’m proud to say it. Much of the platform has been kidnapped by an algorithm obsession and meaningless clickbait that I really wanted @yestheory to stand-out by creating something different with deeper purpose. I’m about to take a 3-week break to recharge my batteries, reflect and spend time with old friends and family. See you in September, sending you all lots of love ✌️Likes : 25961

And today I’m grateful for the path we’re on. But most importantly for my partners in crime 🩵 @ammar @thomasdajer @staffantaylor and Matt 🙂 Here’s to 8 more years of adventure, unexpected friendships and a community that never ceases to amaze me 🙏 To celebrate… We’ve gone a little crazy and made @Seek.Discomfort more accessible than ever before for both our US and EU warehouses 🙂 30% all-time best-sellers, potential to win an all-expenses paid trip to LA with 3 friends, access to the first chapter of Matt’s Yes Theory book… and the list goes on. Don’t miss out!! Check out @seek.discomfort ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Photo by the amazing @alexinhofficialLikes : 25944

Caption : The emotional roller coaster of getting licked in the face by a wolf… A few weeks ago we spent 3 days living alongside these amazing creatures and earning their trust. I have to admit that that was not easy for me. As I was trying to control my fear (that they can sense on us), it took me a while to truly calm down and for them to finally come up this close to me. Locking eyes with a wolf’s big yellow eyes and truly trusting him felt like a spiritual experience. Surrendering to Mother Nature, connecting with our inherent ability to befriend our fellow earthlings and feeling safe alongside them. In many ways it felt like reconnecting with an ancient friendship. Lost and forgotten over the thousands of years as we domesticated their cousins. I hope that our story today on YouTube can change our collective perspective about these animals and move towards greater protection for them to continue existing and thriving alongside us on this planet. Thank you to @apexprotectionproject for letting us into this world 🐺Likes : 25648

A few weeks ago our mission was to find a London Black cab driver to keep driving us until we hit $10,000 on the meter, but never could we have pictured a more legendary driver than Reg. With endless memories both recorded and not, grateful for one of my favorite Yes Theory trips in a while ✨🚀Likes : 25184

Caption : The secret is out, the mysterious place I traveled to a few months was SYRIA. A place that I’ve heard so much about for most of my adult life but not one I will pretend to have truly tried to understand until recent years. As you go further and further into travel to places few dare to go, you meet people who challenge your preconceptions of the word. A few years ago that person for me was @drewbinsky who told me about his trip to Syria and I couldn’t believe what I heard. The friendliest people, the most incredible history and some of the best food in the world… Wow. He introduced me to the awe-inspiring human and local friend/guide @ghaidaa_the_guide with whom I’ve been speaking to for almost 2 years. And since that day, I knew this trip would happen one day, but when? I had no clue. As it is still hard to gauge the risk levels from far away and I’d already given my parents enough heart attacks with some of the my recent trips I wasn’t sure if this would be a good idea. Doubt crept into my mind. However, at the start of the year as Syria re-opened it’s borders after closing for Covid. All the arrows were pointing me in that direction. Should I do it? I needed more help… How do I capture this and give the visuals the justice they deserve with Americans not allowed into the country? That’s when @toumabittar from the Yes Fam came into the picture. Whom I’d soon find out was the kindest and most hard working videographer in Syria. As our team was assembled alongside @fadiassigt who opened doors to many places few get to go to through his company with Ghaidaa @golden.team.Syria we had the most eye-opening trip of my life. I have lots more to share. In the meantime I just want to thank everyone for all of the incredible feedback so far. I was terrified to put this out, nervous about how it would be received. So I feel incredibly relieved and grateful at the moment. I’m finally in my flow I knew I’d find at the start of the year and all I can say is that it feels great to be sharing stories that both inspire me to create and those watching 🧘♂️💙Likes : 25183

Caption : I have entered a completely fresh chapter in my life and all I can say is, it feels totally right 🌟 I have teased moving (which I will break down in detail soon) and my recent trip to a country I haven’t revealed yet, both of which were very significant for me and I can’t wait to share. But overall I feel back in my element, more aligned in my work and I’m seeing things incrementally fall back into place in my personal life. I’ve been waking up looking around, in a new environment, old and new characters surrounding me and a completely fresh plot. It’s strange. To be so full aware of having entered a new phase. And although I’m nervous I’m also so deeply excited for it. To rediscover a part of myself. To say no to things I don’t want to do and yes to more of what feels truly right within me. I’ve spent more time alone in the past few weeks than I ever have. And although solitude used to be my biggest fear, I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT. Going out for dinner by myself, going for walks, meditating more. I feel that I am able to hear my inner self and I’m fully embracing this newfound love for solitude and learning how to love my own presence. Still got a long way to go with many things in my life. But despite my awareness of that, I feel gratitude to be in this exact moment. (Photo by the loser with an unverified account who’s too cool to follow anyone @nathanieldrew_ )Likes : 25034

Caption : First trip to West Africa 🌍 my 60th country and an enlightening experience as we searched to understand the funerals of Ghana 🇬🇭 Complex, filled with grief but also dance, music and celebration my friend Svenja from @storiesmatter told me a year ago about the “happiest funerals in the world”. One year later we arrived to find their story. Within a day we ended up in a Royal Funeral of a “Queen Mother”. I felt welcomed despite the sensitive circumstances and sensed a genuine desire to connect from so many locals. Many asking if we could stay friends. The first picture is with a local Chief named Moro. At first I was intimidated from far away by the leader energy he was commanding. I eventually went up to shake his hand and he turned out to be immensely kind and eager to tell me about his culture. We spoke for about 30 minutes and danced. Grateful that the stories continue to find us and to be given the ability to do what I do. As we approach the end of 2022 and the thought of turning 30 next year is very much present in my mind, I’ve felt myself sinking more and more into a reflective headspace. Many lessons to digest, deeply transformative moments to absorb and a new decade to define. But for now, a few more adventures left for 2022. Towards Central Africa we go… Can you guess which country? 🤲 📸 by @storiesmatterLikes : 24212

Caption : Wim Hof changed my life. He proved to me that the limitations I’d imposed on myself were fully in my mind. 10 minutes in below freezing ice water with no training and no previous ice bath experience? Possible. Climbing a mountain in shorts during a snow storm? Possible. This man is on a mission not to teach us to do impossible physical feats. But to teach that being happy, strong and healthy from within is POSSIBLE. Intention, practice, trust, love, courage, all combine into an energetic state where the “impossible” we impose on ourself becomes possible. Thank you @iceman_hof you’ve changed my life and you’re changing lives around the world. Here’s to many more breakthroughs and miracles. ✨Likes : 24157
