Caption : He had it all. Smart. Funny. Talented. Handsome. Charming. Charismatic. Successful. Compassionate. Heart of gold. And that name… Treat Williams. He truly and deeply cared about what’s going on here in America and around the world. Climate change, social justice, freedom, truth, tolerance… love. Beloved by his family, friends, fans, colleagues… his community. A terrible loss. A true gentleman. You will be missed. Rest easy Treat. 🙏🏽Likes : 17570

Caption : Lost Mama one year ago today. You taught us all that love and laughter are two of the main ingredients in a happy life. Thanks for always being that zany, free spirited, fun loving Mom and friend while also being such a brave and inspirational leader and activist. Your legacy lives on as you continue to change and save lives. Can’t wait to hear all the crazy stories that everyone shares about “Aunt Carol and Uncle Al” at the family reunion this summer. Gonna go just as if you planned it… tons of food with lots of and lots of love and laughter. (Except no trips to the emergency room from rough housing or being daredevils. Note to Daniel !!! 🤣) You were truly one of a kind. Been a tough first year without you. Miss you Mama. ♥️Likes : 12778

Caption : Donald Sutherland 1935 – 2024 I had the honor and privilege of working with Donald Sutherland on three occasions. The first was when he so brilliantly portrayed the deranged, psychopathic arsonist Ronald in the Ron Howard’s Backdraft. The second was 20 weeks on the Universal sci-fi thriller Virus with Jamie Lee Curtis. The third, and by far my favorite, was when he played my father and patriarch of the Darling family… Tripp Darling on the short lived but wonderful ABC hit Dirty, Sexy, Money. Donald was a complex, complicated and quirky man in the most delicious way. He had a gentle, childlike boyish streak in him that I absolutely adored. His persona on screen and his personality in life were as interesting and original as the features of his remarkable face. He was a true original. A one of a kind. I have never known anyone remotely like him. His many incredible qualities and somehow even his flaws made him more unique, more charming… more lovable. I remember one day we were coming out of the DSM table reading and Donald had this big smile on his face and bounce in his step and said to me… “Look at this… read this.” He proceeded to hand me his script and I read a scene that had lots of snappy, brilliant Craig Wright/ Tripp Darling dialogue in it. He said to me… “Can you believe that? Can you believe I get to say that… how wonderful.” It was so sweet and so exhilarating for me to see how excited he still was about the work at 73 years old. I played his eldest son Patrick on Dirty, Sexy, Money and we had gotten so close during the two seasons we worked together that he once said to me… “I have affection for you as if you were one of my sons.” That meant to the world to me and I will never forget that. There will never be another Donald Sutherland… ever. We have lost a true acting master and a quirky, one of a kind, never met anyone like him before original. My condolences to Francine, Rossif, Angus, Roeg, Kiefer and Rachel. He will be dearly missed.Likes : 11969

Caption : Went to dinner in LA with our children the other night. Dinner ended and we were all parked in the same parking structure. Chynna and I knew that they were parked on the floor below us so we decided to torture them by making out like we were teenagers as they came driving up the ramp and passed us. Public displays of affection by parents are both relationship goals and totally embarrassing for your children. They laughed, protested, thought it was cute and were completely grossed out all at the same time. When they were kids they always use the scream… “GET A ROOOOM !!!“… 💋🤸♂️🤣🔥♥️Likes : 7254

Caption : A little tribute from Chynna and me to mourn the loss and celebrate the memory of… Norman Lear 1922 – 2023 Norman Lear was a risk taker, a trailblazer, a pioneer. He was one of the most important figures in Art, entertainment and culture… in American history. I lost my father when I was 19 years old. I have many memories of my childhood with my father… Cub Scouts, Little League, his influences on me to give back… to be of service. One of the most vivid memories I have was watching the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite and us always, always, always watching All In The Family. We worshipped that show!! We never missed an episode… ever!! They were always talking about the most important social, political and cultural issues of the time. We were shocked, appalled, laughed, cried and learned a lot… sometimes all in one episode!! It was so cutting edge that half the stuff that came out of Archie Bunker‘s mouth on television in the early 1970s couldn’t ever be put on television today because of our overwhelming bent towards political correctness. I miss those days. I miss the 70s when television, film and music was more about “something” than it is today. If you don’t believe me… go to YouTube and watch clips from All In The Family, Maude, Good Times… any of it. I promise you you will be blown away by the topics that were routinely discussing on network television in front of tens of millions of people each week. All in the Family The Jeffersons Maude Sanford & Son Good Times One Day at a Time (With my sister in law Mack!! ♥️) What a career!! What a legacy!! Also remember that the work he did and the contribution he made through People For The American Way has also left an indelible mark on our society. It inspired me, many in the entertainment industry and millions of others to use their platform to be of service, to give back, to strengthen our democracy, to advance the agenda of important social and political issues. To leave our our world a better place for our children and our grandchildren. And BTW… Lear flew 52 missions over Europe in WW II to help defeat the Nazis!!! 🇺🇸 Rest in peace Norman and thank you!! ♥️Likes : 3358

Caption : An amazing time was had by all at the @billyjoel residency at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. An incredible time with my nephew Griffin. @imgriffintyler Pizza, tequila, MSG, NYC and Billy Joel… a failsafe recipe for the perfect night for a Long Island boy like me. Once again… Billy had the packed house rockin’ and hangin’ on every word, every joke, every story, melody, lyric. An absolute legend… a national treasure. I sent the setlist to my friend Bill the next day and he said… “Nessun dorma… how cool is that !!!” To which I responded… “Would I be an uncultured douche nozzle if I would’ve rather heard Captain Jack instead of Nessun dorma?” He said… “Yes, that would definitely qualify you as a complete and total uncultured, douche nozzle.“ Just kidding… loved Nessun dorma but did CRANK Captain Jack twice on the ride home!! Los Angelenos for the first time in over 40 years and FIVE ENCORES !!! 🔥 Living on the East Coast for the summer so will definitely be hitting Billy‘s MSG residency a few more times while I’m here. Thank you Billy for writing a BIG part of the soundtrack of my life !!! 🎶 🎼 🎵Likes : 2330

It was the first “Hollywood” event that I’ve taken any of my children to since the premiere of The Cat in the Hat back in 2003. Saw so many old friends… we had such a blast !!! The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) is a charitable organization that offers assistance and care to those in the motion picture and television industries and their families with limited or no resources, including services such as temporary financial assistance, case management, and residential living. If the name honors the heritage of a local Indian tribe like Chief Tackapausha and the Massapequa Indians… the name should remain. If you’re going to take away the name of the mascot that we have honored, respected, cherish and celebrated for generations then you might as well take the name Massapequa off the high school altogether. In fact… you should remove the name Massapequa from the town altogether. Allegany Cattaraugus Chautauqua Cayuga Iroquois Seneca Oneida Onondaga Poospatuck Mohawk Shinnecock Skaneateles Tonawanda Tuscarora And many, many more… gone forever!! Fight it. Caption : William “Billy” Friedkin has died. He directed several of my favorite films including The Exorcist, The French Connection, To Live and Die in LA, Twelve Angry Men and others. He was married to one of my favorite people in Hollywood… former Paramount Chairwoman Sherry Lansing. To this day… The Exorcist is unequivocally the scariest film I’ve ever seen. A complete masterpiece. Terrifying if you grew up Catholic and you were an altar boy as I was. In the 80s, I worked on Capitol Hill… living in Georgetown literally a block from the famed staircase featured in The Exorcist. At one point in his career, Billy directed a remake of Twelve Angry Men for Showtime. It was so incredible that Showtime decided that they wanted to produce a series of classic remakes. Next in that series was scheduled to be Elmer Gantry with Friedkin directing and yours truly in the title role. We developed it for several months but due to the budgetary challenges of trying to shoot a period piece set in the early 20th century… we were never able to pull it off. Billy Friedkin was a complex, dynamic, super interesting man. Extremely bright, an amazingly gifted artist and a bit of a madman all rolled into one. All three required if you’re going to make films as brilliant as The Exorcist, The French Connection, To Live and Die in LA and Twelve Angry Men. I was so excited to work with him. It never worked out. I regret that the opportunity never presented itself again. Rest in peace Billy Friedkin. My condolences to Sherry and the entire Friedkin family.Likes : 1798
