TW – Needles (skip from 30-40 seconds to avoid) 🚨A little Blepharitis update or, drippy eye as I call it. If you suffer from this eye problem, you will know how totally annoying and complex it is to manage. My eyelids became sore scaly and inflamed the inside of my eyes were constantly pink and tears were flowing. Reasons are varied but mainly related to age, hormones, dry eye, over production of eye oil (our lubricant for blinking) and in my case small tear ducts. Who would have known I had them until my eyes went under a microscope. They are now not so small after an operation to widen them. I’ve spent a week with little bruises, ointment and drops but now beginning to see the benefit. My eyes for the first time since the beginning of the year look white again no ‘dripping’ and the skin around them, due to my diligent use of BALM 6 on the end of a cotton bud no longer look angry, scaly and puffy. Not 100% sure I’m out of the woods, but definitely on the right track and understand the problem so much more – Knowledge is power! @susansarangapani , the Ophthalmic surgeon who works with the team at OCL Vision was amazing. Her explanation of my problem, options and realistic prognosis were very clear. I will be seeing her again in a few weeks time and will let you know how I get on but at the moment I’m extremely happy, don’t have tissues stuffed in every pocket and have to keep telling people “No I’m not crying” Big thank you to the fantastic team @ocl_vision
Little spaces need the most love ❤️ I don’t have a garden but patio and balconies are loved, tidied and cared for in the same way any other room inside is. When I was presenting ‘Perfect Housewife’ I always said I knew what was the other side of the door just by looking outside and I was never wrong. People who’ve given up, are struggling inside and a little bit lost in themselves struggle outside as well. Most mornings during the summer I’m outside dead heading brushing up and having a little chat with my plants and when I found myself alone after years of marriage I can honestly say those plants helped me mentally adjust to a different way of living. Never underestimate the power of plants to lift our spirits and stop us feeling down and lonely. 💐🌸🌻
The Hairy Bikers will always be in my life and even though Dave Myers is cooking feasts now in food heaven he remains in my kitchen 🏍️ 🏍️❤️ Hadn’t made in Beef Bourguignon in years but I knew @hairybikers wouldn’t let me down for a quick belated Mark birthday celebration. I don’t know if you do this, but I find YouTube a cooking godsend – Watching a pros just gets your head around technique and shortcuts. I like cooking, no expert but if I have the time it’s a joy and a way to unwind. This morning while fine-tuning the tidy up had my fix of @Saturday.Kitchen And there they were,The Hairy Bikers making pistachio ice cream. I also served this but cheated and went to @badiani1932 on Fulham Rd because they do the most amazing pistachio ice cream – Its my favourite flavour so I rate all ice cream shops by it and they win 🏆 Finally editing my Italy pics will post 🇮🇹 My Blepheritus is really getting me down, in itself its mild but have a pre-sac nasolacrimal discovered when I had my tearducts widened – Basically an obstruction/ridiculously narrow tear sac – this can be fixed so on it and will report back 👀 💋💋
I Love a Mouse! It’s not that I can’t if pushed use a track pad for basics but a mouse is so much easier. I see people with long fingers and seriously long nails who don’t own a mouse flying over the pad like they’re playing a tiny piano – How do they do it? Tell me I’m not the only numpty? 🙈

Is anyone else ready for Autumn?🍂 What is this weather at the moment? It’s freezing and with that our skin in the cold suffers and mine being on the pink spectrum can’t take it and needs protection. When you’re out in the cold it can feel lovely and fresh but once inside you can see how much damage this weather does to our exposed areas. We are constantly going from cold to dry central heating so no wonder our skin, lips, hair and cuticles look dry. At night I remove my makeup with BALM 6. It’s a pure oil, no water so the kindest way to cleanse, massage and nourish my face. This is not the time to be adding harsh oil stripping potions into your beauty regime. All skins have a natural protective layer of oil and we want to preserve that, not destroy it. After I’ve cleansed and using a warm damp face cloth gently wipe all residue off I then pat dry and use BALM 6 again as a night moisturiser. I need it to put back what the cold and dry has sucked out and with Prickly Pear in it, natures Hyaluronic Acid which helps form a barrier so we don’t lose moisture while we sleep, its a winner. I also put it on my cuticles, lips and even hair if needed because BALM 6 has been created to have multiple uses. Luxury has not been forgotten the aroma of Rosemary, Lemon Grass and Vanilla is loved by everyone I speak to. This advice is not good for business but please use BALM 6 sparingly – As there’s no water in it the nourishing ingredient only is jam packed into the pot. With the scoop that comes with it put a small coin size into your palms and as you rub them together watch it melt. Enjoy and let me know what you think. 🫶🏼 . CYCLING ADVENTURES ! 🚲 with @wendy_turner_webster and Dad I love my bike but a bit of a scaredy cat on the roads. Love though, the Thames River Path – 298km from the Cotswolds to Southend on Sea but we just did the bit between Kew and Richmond!! Dad is proof you never forget how to ride a bike, now wants to go again!! Doing things with Dad (91) has taken years off him – I don’t think we would have so many age related hospital visits if money was spent wisely in the community. I drink a shot (about 2 tbsp) of extra virgin olive oil a day and have done for over a year. 🫒It was @toniabuxton who got me into it and I swear I never ache because if it! So when I was filming in Crete for @mistralsinglesgr and we visited @biolea_astrikas_estate olive press I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Listen to Chloe for all her tips. The bottle that came home with me is long gone and atm enjoying @citizensofsoil which is delicious and easily found in Waitrose.
