If you suffer from this eye problem, you will know how totally annoying and complex it is to manage.
My eyelids became sore scaly and inflamed the inside of my eyes were constantly pink and tears were flowing.
Reasons are varied but mainly related to age, hormones, dry eye, over production of eye oil (our lubricant for blinking) and in my case small tear ducts. Who would have known I had them until my eyes went under a microscope.
They are now not so small after an operation to widen them. I’ve spent a week with little bruises, ointment and drops but now beginning to see the benefit.
My eyes for the first time since the beginning of the year look white again no ‘dripping’ and the skin around them, due to my diligent use of BALM 6 on the end of a cotton bud no longer look angry, scaly and puffy.
Not 100% sure I’m out of the woods, but definitely on the right track and understand the problem so much more – Knowledge is power!
@susansarangapani , the Ophthalmic surgeon who works with the team at OCL Vision was amazing.
Her explanation of my problem, options and realistic prognosis were very clear.
I will be seeing her again in a few weeks time and will let you know how I get on but at the moment I’m extremely happy, don’t have tissues stuffed in every pocket and have to keep telling people “No I’m not crying”
