✨As I reflect back on this last year of my life, one thing I can say is that I honestly didn’t expect Avalon to have such an impact on me… I’m still not entirely sure what even happened there… What I know for sure is that when I came back home, I was no longer afraid. Or rather, I suddenly somehow had the courage to come forward and be seen, after years of fear. Maybe there’s something about the prayer field in Avalon that accelerates our heart’s desires and our capabilities for change. Maybe there’s something that allows us to peer more deeply into our shadowy parts and to illuminate our light. Maybe there’s simply the time to bloom. 🌹 Here’s to 44. ✨

🔑 Key one: “All the negative stories we’re telling ourselves are just resistance against our own divinity.” ✨ We can get buried by the weight of all our negative stories. The problem is… most of them are lies. “You can’t, you shouldn’t, you’re this or that…” These are the voices of illusion. They are not you. And they’re not true. I mean, what if finding a path toward enlightenment means… you just have to let the light in. Sound easy? Actually, I think it can be terrifying because the light will illuminate your shadow. That’s okay, that’s kind of the point. Be brave. We can do it. We’re strong enough to look at what we’ve yet been unwilling to see. The old stories will fight hard against your attempts to prove them wrong. But love is the answer, love is the way. Love them into truth. …until the shadow becomes the light. #keysofavalon
🔑 Key three: “Success and failure are just two sides of the same coin.” ✨ This was a BIG one for me, getting down into some core wounding I’ve been facing for a few years now. What I learned is this: “tests” are supposed to be a measurement of our mastery of the knowledge being taught… not an assessment of our very soul. In our school system, we’ve somehow managed to corrupt and weaponize “tests” by turning them into yet another false hierarchical way to create shame within our children… which then leads to shame-filled adults… which then leads to violence and violation. Enough. If you don’t “pass a test” it’s because you are still in class. You didn’t fail…because there’s no such thing. You are in Earth School. You are good enough and today you get to try again. Period. ✨ #keysofavalon

🔑 Key Two: “The consciousness of the programming will change when the consciousness of the people making it changes.” ✨ For better or worse, our stories are the most powerful things about our human minds. They can take us down the wrong path, or help raise us to new heights. Our collective stories are told through systems, networks, interwoven webs… And so many of the systems currently in place in the world are ripe for change — the film / tell-a-vision industry being one of them, as recent strikes made abundantly clear. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with how much change is needed for us to make the necessary collective shift toward love, in a very short time, it often appears. But each of us has been given a task within this great work. And I want to be part of telling the new story of humanity – a story of liberation, oneness, support, healing, freedom of expression, of the honoring of Mother Earth and her guardians. Ultimately stories and systems themselves are neutral— it’s the consciousness and intention we bring to them that allows them to elevate us or bring us down. Let’s rise together. ✨ #keysofavalon
Stonehenge represents the root chakra of the island of Avalon, and Avebury represents the energy of the sacral — or the sacred feminine. I came back from Avalon with three keys to share with you. One I received here, at Avebury. One I received in a quiet garden of remembrance. And the last one I received at the white springs. May these keys bring peace, self-forgiveness, deeper understanding… and may they sow seeds of awakening in all who are ready and willing to receive them. More to follow… 🔑 🔑 🔑
Finding Egypt in Avalon… and vice versa… Easily the most transformative experience for me last year (in a year of many) was my journey to Avalon. The power of this time cannot be measured and some of it cannot be spoken of. When I was in Egypt in 2023, the message I kept hearing was “And next you have to go to Avalon.” (Can I be honest? I didn’t even really know where this was…sorry to everyone who loves Mists of Avalon… yes I’ve read it since) The day I got back to Los Angeles (literally THE DAY)… I got an out-of-the-blue text from my beautiful sister @ameyacohen (who was my doula for Finn) and her message said: “I’m leading a pilgrimage to Avalon this summer. Would you like to come with me?” And so I went, answering the call. That was last summer, and I haven’t been ready to share until now. I’m not always sure why, but every step on this path has revealed more and more magic and wonder to me, so I just continue to open, to simply say “Yes,” and to step forward into the mystery.
