Come with me to Whole Foods to find healthy food 🤗 – Britt and I made a quick stop to grab some essentials for Mia and for the house. We found some quick grab n go’s, some healthy options and managed to get a few reviews in that ya’ll requested. – Important to note when it comes to fruit: fructose when it’s in fruit isn’t bad for us. The fiber forms a latticework along the walls of the intestines and prevents the absorption of the fructose into the intestinal cells. – However, the fructose we find in packaged foods is made from dextrose ( which is very close to glucose) which in turn is made from corn starch using a process called corn wet milling. There is a refinement process and the resulting product that we see in process foods causes separation of the tight junctions of cells that make up our intentional walls. This allows the sewage in our intestines to leach into the rest of our bodies. – Is a small amount dangerous? Not really. One pass and one win! Taste test at the end 😋 – The more refined sugar that’s in a product, the more ghrelin spikes once your stomach starts to empty. It’s one of two hunger hormones. Approximately 95% of all soy is genetically modified – and most mayonnaise uses soybean oil as their main ingredient. – Most of this is to ensure it’s resistant to glyphosate, a powerful herbicide.
