Juhi has done the impossible. 28th June, Friday saw history being ‘performed’ as ‘Saiyaara’ walked in style on to the stage in her 100th Edition, shattering records with her usual verve. The play ‘With Love, Aap ki Saiyaara’ dares to challenge the stereotypes. Every single word that she chose to describe her predicament owned the emotion so aptly that 100 minutes just flew by. ‘Ekjute’ is a labour of love for Nadira and all of us but Saiyaara has taken it to the next level. The show travelled 35 Cities in India, has performed across continents and in just 30 months has hit the 100th milestone! There couldn’t be a better way of marking this occasion than to invite 100 women achievers for this 100th show. These women from diverse backgrounds were elated with Saiyaara demolishing challenges that came her way. Team Saiyaara was overwhelmed by the words of praise & admiration for the play by the Guests of Honour Varsha Gaikwad Ji MP, Padmashri & renowned Cricketer Diana Edulji, Acclaimed Actor Taapsee Pannu, Theatre Veteran Sarita Joshi ji and Actor-Director Nandita Das & several other incredible Achievers from different walks of life. Watching the beaming faces of the Women of all hues – Home Makers, Business women, Chefs, Pilots, Banker, Teachers, Actors, Directors, Musicians, Politicians, Influencers, Sports & Fitness Women, Painters, all clapping in admiration for Juhi, my heart felt so proud. Here I was, an Actor and a Father, and I for once had no words to explain the feelings of joy that crossed my mind. The whole family is so proud of you Juhi! I cannot stop without mentioning the Team which deserves a standing ovation! The Writer, Actor, Director in Juhi Babbar Soni would have been incomplete without the Technical Director and Light designer Ravi Mishra, Actor and Music designer Achint Marwah, Production Manager Anushree Bhadang, Audio visual operator Akash Chaudhary, Actor Neha Sheikh, Show coordinator Rajkumar Yadav, Announcer Vandana Sengupta, Social Media & Graphic Artist Sanaeya Mistry, Decor and Display Urmi G Events, Photographer Shiv Kholi and a host of Theatre Enthusiasts who all together made Saiyaara’s 100th show a magnificent success!
