I just turned 40, and I look 10 years younger! Here’s how I did it… I cut out alcohol! Every time I tell people how old I am, they’re in disbelief! Not gonna lie, my mom and dad gave me some great genetics, but helping my skin in its natural processes of rejuvenation is my secret to great skin! Alcohol depletes your skin of collagen, elasticity and vital antioxidants such as zinc and vitamin A that help your skin rejuvenate with new cells and stay beautiful… What are other sober tips that you guys might want to know about? #sober #soberlife #soberliving #flawlessskin #40andfabulous
My natural hair color… In my healing journey one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that it’s ok to reinvent yourself… I’ve actually had a career as a world known model based in reimagining myself over and over again that has given me 20 years of fulfillment… But this season is about freedom… who am I when the cameras are off? I’m listening to the little girl that still lives in me … and being now the woman who would have protected her then… stripping away years of molding myself and simply being someone who I am in love with… A real life ALEBRIJE… #soberlife #soberliving #innerchildhealing #innerchild #alebrijes #alebrije #mexico🇲🇽 #mexicana
Video Diary: Celebrating 2 years of sobriety as a non-drinker was challenging! The hardest part? Recreating a new identity for myself around social expression. Wanting to celebrate a big accomplishment? Had a hard day? Normally, we’d be popping bottles… but being a non-drinker asked me to find other ways to celebrate life… which was explorative and actually VERY LIBERATING! Of course it felt weird at first but finding new ways to love on myself was the hardest part, but most rewarding part! #videodiary #sober #soberlife #alcoholfreelife
What y’all think about my momma’s pipes? Teresa can sing! Spending healing time with mom… I’m cherishing these moments I get to be present and attentive with this beautiful light being who gave me life. The clarity and joy that has come into my life with sobriety has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done… love you mommy! Thank you for all your support always and for believing in me!

Fact: When you drink to relax, you’re actually giving yourself delayed panic attacks. The depressant nature of alcohol may make you feel relaxed at first, but the increased amount of cortisol and adrenaline your body produces to counteract it actually results in anxiety attacks…. Are you guys interested in more sober tips like this? I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments! #sobertip : give your body a fighting chance to handle life’s challenges with adding extra anxiety to the mix… #sober #soberliving #mocktail #mocktails
What an honor to be able to attend the opening exhibition “Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist, and All That It Implies” at @brooklynmuseum this past weekend. It’s taken me a few days to unpack all the emotions I had around this visit. We flew into NYC just for this opening and it was breathtaking… I was able to meet so many people that inspire me, besides being surrounded by the love of my family …. I could feel my grandmother’s love so deeply in the galleries being surrounded by her work, as her grandchild, as a Black woman, as a Mexican woman, as her living legacy… The experience truly shifted my perception of myself and I walk away feeling a deep love for myself in my viscera. If you have the opportunity to attend this exhibition, please go! It’s showing until January 19th!

Would you swim in an underwater cave? I traveled to the Yucatan with my sister and healer @ife.mora on her somatic healing retreat and have truly been transformed! Being sober was the first step, to stop drinking and poisoning my body… healing my heart was the next part… it takes time but the journey is amazing and beautiful and so much more rewarding than I ever dreamed possible! Big gratitude and appreciation to my sister Ife for guiding me so powerfully during this trip. Most of the trip I didn’t want to document, beach I wanted to feel present in the moment and hold some things sacred to me like the ancient magic of the Temazcal and the secrets of the jungle. But wow! I feel like I’m emerging a new woman! #sober #soberlife #soberliving #sobergirl
Bringing sexy back with sobriety… thank you @newsnationnow for having me and my friend @caesarstovall , senior mixologist at @sugarmonknyc who introduced me to a whole new level of experiencing Non-alcoholic Cocktails…. Should I do at home reviews and recipes? #sobertip : you’re not alone on this journey… seek safe places where you can celebrate your journey and where you are on it…. #mocktails #sober #soberlife
Chosen Family…. Stepping into a new year and new season… I brought in 2 years of sobriety as a non-drinker with some of the people I have had the honor to love most. @ishaebworld @mylongstoryshort @aj_bald … Thank you all for holding so much love and space for me….

Ever had a sober date night??? Now that I’m a non-drinker I prefer earlier evenings… better sleep and better lighting, hello! I finally got the chance to try @ritualzeroproof non-alcoholic tequila at @cafestella … i used to really love the Smokey aromas in a real tequila, but of course hated the effects of drinking. What Ritual Zero Proof does is accomplish a strikingly similarly peppery taste with this NA spirit … and guess what? It doesn’t burn going down. I’m a fan! Crafted with high-quality ingredients and natural botanical flavors, this winning tequila substitute delivers the same grassy flavor, smoky aroma, and bright fire of traditional tequila — without the alcohol, calories, or hangover. David and I had a wonderful time trying mock tails on this date night out in Silver Lake. Who says you have to be sober alone? #sober tip: if the taste of alcohol isn’t for you, this may be a trigger. But for those who enjoy the taste without the effects, I’d give it a try …. And try exploring with a friend or someone you love so the experience isn’t so scary. #sobriety #sobrietyrocks #sobergirl #sobergirlsociety #mocktail #mocktails #ritualzeroproof

Vacationing while sober? Allow your senses to be awakened and brought to life by what your vacation has to offer you! @wildtulum didn’t disappoint as the first restaurant i visited on my trip. Being of Mexican descent I love the healing properties of Copal and being surrounded by it was magical! The “WILD Mocktail” was a delicate treat to pair with dinner. It reminded me of a lighter “morir soñando” a traditional Latin drink that blends citrus and milk. It was like drinking a pineapple cloud. What’s the best part of sober vacation for you guys? #sober #soberliving #mocktails #mocktail
