Nandita Das Instagram – Happy Independence day. Though tough to celebrate when so many continue to be abused, discriminated, subjugated, raped and killed. The horrific incident in Kolkata is beyond disturbing. What’s scary is that it’s neither the first nor the last.
But there is hope if we speak up and fight the good fight. The nonviolent freedom struggle must not go in vain. We owe it to them.
