Guess who I went to see yesterday! Reunited with the wonderful @alistair_appletons_mindsprings who I rarely get to hang out with anymore. That has to change. A glimpse of Alistair & his husband Daniel’s home on the South Coast. Off grid (yes really) happy & privy to the most incredible views!! It’s the most beautiful of locations & as creatives, a constant source of inspiration 💙 Will be featured on a future @escape_country show – coming soon. Glorious On a side note, the boys were busy preparing their home not only for us, but also an exhibition they are holding for over 30 local artists this weekend – stunning ceramics, jewellery, paintings, clothing etc plus tea & cake. Working with the local artistic community & giving others a chance to exhibit & sell their beautiful work. We bought some stunning mugs & vases yesterday 😊 If you are in the #newhaven area (and OMG weather today is beautiful again!!) it’s a few minutes walk towards the beach from the South Hill Barn Car Park. Chappers Catwalk – complete with balloons 🎈with matching shoes ⭐️⭐️ Love a little black dress (who doesn’t) but rarely wear it on screen – yesterday was the exception! Wanted something stylish yet full on comff (is that a word?) so this dress, with pleated skirt and belt, fitted the brief perfectly. No pockets but I didn’t mind on this number. Swishes perfectly too Shoes a girls dream (or anyone that loves a glam stacked heel). Could wear these for hours. TV appearance ready thanks to Alice on glam! I also get to meet an incredible lady who has set up a painter’s rural retreat for other like-minded artists in a stunning setting. Somerset – I can see the appeel 🍎 We pipped in & revisited two of our @escape_country couples last week in the stunning west country. Pleased as punch they all are 😊 I’m just going to say ‘gardens, dogs, friendships & views’ … yep Visited Wellington’s monument, climbed Ham Hill (what a vistaaaaa) dodged some pretty heavy rainfalls & nearly got soaked to the core, became a trainee apiarist for the afternoon (under strict supervision from lovely Sarah) bought some delish ‘proper’ honey & met the fantastic team @arkategwood doing incredible work with the Somerset community.
