Tamannaah Instagram – Krishna is known to be an illusionist, a shapeshifter, stories of his ‘Leela’ spanning all the way from Vrindavan to Kurukshetra.
In this way, his shapeshifting is what makes him the perfect object of love and desire – he can become exactly what you desire.
In a story narrated in the Bhagavata Purana, Narada, the wandering sage, was curious to see how Krishna was managing to live with his 16,108 wives and came to Dwaraka for a visit. Krishna welcomed Narada with great honor, and a mischievous smile. Narada then visited every one of the houses of Krishna’s 16,108 wives and was surprised to see Krishna present in every house with his wife in an atmosphere of total domesticity, laughing and joking with his wife, taking care of his children, and helping his wife in household chores. Watching this phenomenon, Narada was utterly humbled.
This idea, along with the ever present ‘dhoom’ and joy of Holi associated to the Raasleela – Where krishna showers his devotees in mounts of florals is where the inspiration for this “adhyaya” of the story lies.
